What did you aim to achieve through your work?
The aim of my current work is, “To evaluate the
main issues faced by companies in managing
talent along with analysing the strategies that
has been used by best firms to attract and retain
talented people”. A project on Aston Martin.
Beside this, following objectives are also set that
are needed to be achieved through current
study:
To develop effective understanding
about the need and importance of talent
management concept.
To analysis the various issues and
challenges faced by companies in managing
talent at their workplace.
To identify the best talent management
strategies which have been adopted by the best
organisation to attract and retain talented
people for a longer period of time.
Did your work succeed in achieving your aims? How
do you know? Specifically, please outline any
evaluation and assessment undertaken.
Yes, my current work is successful in achieving
set aim. The following points are supporting my
evaluation and assessment that is reflecting
achievement of set objective. I had completed
the introduction about the project management
and talent management. I had completed project
management plan in this period. Selection of
appropriate research method is through taking
help of Sounder's Research Onion and Data
Collection Methods. Maintaining ethical
consideration while collection of primary data
was faced as risk. Thus, use of BERA code of

What aspects of your development process do you
think worked well and why? Evaluate all aspects of

The aspects that worked well during the current
study includes setting of clear aim and objective
along with design of proper project management
plan. Beside this, use of Gantt chart and WBS has
also supported better management of current
study. Further, selection of appropriate research
method for conducting current study was also
made which supported collection of reliable and
authentic set of data to meet set objectives.
What problems emerged during the project and how
were they tackled? Was there timely identification of
issues and resolution during the project process?
Problem related with lack of managerial skill
along with limited time and resources was faced
which was timely identified. Use of Gantt chart
and WBS has been made to ensure better
management of resources and time to maintain
the authenticity and efficiency of current
project.
What did you learn from undertaking the project?
I better underdoing and learning about the
concept of talent management and effective
strategies for managing talent has been learnt
by me.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of your
process that you have identified? Having effective commination skill is my
strength along with improved research and
analytical skills. On the other hand, lack of
managerial skills and issue faced in managing
time and resources are the weakness identified
in current process.

How could your process improve for the future?
The current research project and process has
improved my future through enhancing my
knowledge and understanding level on a vital
topic of talent management. apart from this,
improvement in my managerial and
communication skill are also facilitated by
current study through leading a practical
experience of making use of WBS and Gantt
chart. Further, collection of primary data also
supported effective communication skills along
with improving my overall presentation and
research skills which supported improved
future for me.
