INTRODUCTION
Leadership is a kind of process which is related to influencing the people for goal and
objective achieving. In the context of organisations, leadership is very crucial because it provides
direction to the employees. This is a necessary part for organisational success. Effectiveness of
leadership depends on the ability of leader. The effective leadership can affect the team work
positively because all members put their maximum efforts to complete the task as per the
necessity. If leader is able to influence and motivate the employees then it would impact whole
organisation. This project contains detailed information about the impact of leadership on the
team work.

As the effective leadership can affect the teamwork because it is helpful to motivates the
workers to perform well in order to achieve the goals of company. Leadership plays important
role in any kind of organisation. It provides needed direction to the employees so that they can
guide their activities towards the common goals and objectives. In addition it depends on the
skill and talent of a leader to motivate and influence the workforce. Entire leadership process
depends on the quality of leader (Merchant, 2012). If leader is unable to guide the employees in
right direction, then it can be difficult for the organisation to achieve their goals and objectives.
Leadership is not only required by the companies but also it is needed in every kind of sector.
There are many kind of leadership style which impacts the employees in many ways. Some
leadership styles are like democratic style, strategic, coaching, transformational etc. Each of
these styles have own importance in the context of leadership. Apart from these, success of a
team is depends on the team leader. This is why because team is a group of people who work
together for a common goal or purpose and it is must for a team that their all members should be
motivated. It is possible only by the leadership because this has significant impact on the team
work. For an example there is a team of 10-15 members who are working on a project, they have
all the resources but their members are not motivated. In this situation they require a kind of
leader who can motivate all the members and can influence towards the goals. This shows that
all the resources are worthless in the absence of the leadership (Negussie and Demissie, 2013). In
the context of today's business environment mostly teams have all needed resources but they

provided by the leader. Majorly, leadership works some works for the team like define the roles
and responsibilities as per the skill of team members, solving the barrier during the performing
the activities etc. Except from this, leadership is not limited till the influencing and directing, it
solves the conflicts among the members which raise due to many reasons like diversity. As the
effective leadership can affect the teamwork because it is helpful to encourage the workers to put
maximum efforts so that predetermined objectives can accomplish as per the requirement. As
leadership can lead the individuals so that they can complete the task and perform better so that
targets can be achieve as per the desire of organisation.

the staffs will also motivate by looking and put maximum contribution which is helpful to bring

can provide all relevant information to the group members which is useful to complete the task in
required manner and it affect the team work positively. Positive attitude of leader is beneficial to
handle the complicated task and situations in order to achieve the targets which is set by the
management of corporation. The positive attitude of leader influence the behaviour of
individuals to resolve the issues which arises at work place and it positively affect the teamwork.
