Reflection
The following is the reflection of my own experience which I came across the time of
completing this project (Baldwin, 2016). It was about a month's ago, when out teacher provided
our class with n assignment of the topic “Leadership and Management”. Out teacher divided the
complete class in groups as the assignment was large so it took time for individual candidate to
complete it in the given period of time. In the class itself, it was decided about the completion of
this project in team. So this my was my first experiences when I was working in a team with the
students of my class in the project. So there was an involvement of five members in the team and
I decided to find out the relevant data for the project completion. As the project was big so it was
divided into five different tasks, the first one decided to write the content of the project, the
second one decided about the checking the content after completing by the writer whether the
information written is from valid source, is right or not. The third candidate decided about to
make PowerPoint Presentation of the complete work and the last candidate decided to make
rectification in the content which is needed to be rectified. So after, this everyone was clear with
their own roles and responsibilities with which they are required to do work. So the conclusion
of these efforts prove to come positive but the way we all passed was not an easy one.
So at the time when we all were provided with completing this task, there were several
feelings which strike into my mind at the time of leading this project. As this experience as
different from that of others (Breen and et. al., 2015). So I was feeling excited, fearful related to
my performance and also curious about how all these things are going to be for me. Other
members of the team were also curious, happy and feeling great in the team as they all were the
students of my class so it was not difficult for me to make myself comfortable with them. During
the event, there were several feelings which came into my mind such as fear, anxious, jealousy,
tension because the work was not going in the speed in which it was expected to go. So this was
the main reason of bad feelings. Other members were also stressed because one of the member of
our team was not performing well in the work as he was provided with to check the work again
which is needed to be rectified. In case of non effective performance of the work, it will not be
possible for us to get good marks in the assignment. So we managed all out time, in order to
cover the part of his work as well and gave extra time to the work. This made us to work in even

nights as well. Other members of the tea, also gave their contribution in making the work to be
on track. At that time, I understood the importance of different skills and competencies which are
required in an individual to have for the successful completion of different tasks provided to
them. Skills such as team management skills, coordination, cooperation, leadership,
communication, interpersonal skills, numeracy skills, problem solving, time management and
many other important skills with the help of which it will be possible for all of us to make
successful completion of the provided task in an effective and efficient way. In the completion of
this assignment, the main issues which have been faced by us is related to management of time
which is because of lack of performance of a team member that impacted upon the complete
performance of our team. In addition to this, communication skills, cooperation, interpersonal
skills also helped a lot in creating a good working environment in between the team members
and also helped in making the environment to be cooperative. Communication skills helped in
knowing and delivering of facts and ideas, leadership is important to guide the team members
and the importance of all these skills and competencies is possible to know for me because of
conducting this assignment.
In the vast majority of the work, I counselled to him, cleared by questions and made
everything clear to me with the goal that I can give my level best to the work in light of the fact
that for getting great outcomes, everyone in the group was required to work in proper way
because the result will be sure for all of us. Our group head move us to work appropriately and in
the correct manner which aided in making improvement in our exhibition and thus affected
decidedly on the general execution of the group. As I previously expressed that my work
somewhat extreme in light of the fact that the undertaking point gave to utilize an exceptionally
huge subject and it make disarray what information should I pick. This confusion emerge in light
of the fact that the view of each individual varies from one another (Reynolds and Vince, 2017).
So I have to finish my work with due care and appropriately in order to make the work viable.
Different individuals from the group additionally made their own commitment towards making
the venture fruitful and its finish on time as they were likewise doing their work yet one of our
colleagues was not performing great in beginning which affected crafted by all other colleagues
as he was the person who will begin the undertaking. However, the delay caused in the work was
secured by the planned work of the colleagues that make the entire circumstance levelled out and
stable. By finishing this undertaking I came to think about the significance of time the board in

the task as well as in the reality. Time management is essential to achieve the entire assignment
in a productive and viable way. I took in this exercise simply because of issues looked by our
group identified with time while finishing this task. So isolating the assignments is significant as
well as their favourable stage is additionally vital in order to make the work progressively viable
and great. As when the work is done in rush, the odds of mix-ups are more and make the total
work wrong. That is the reason time the executives is from my perspective is extremely basic to
do while doing any work to build its productivity and adequacy. In future, in case I will be ever
provided with this chance again, I will ensure that I complete the work gave to me on time as I
took in this from the present undertaking which our group has achieved. This experience is
considered as bot positive and negative. It is on the grounds that this experience has both positive
and negative impact on me. In this undertaking, time the executives has made an awful effect in
beginning however making improvement by me in this will help me improving my future
errands. To me, both the positive and negative occasions are significant as I can make
improvement in both the positive and negative ones. In future in the event that I got an
opportunity to work again in a group I will appropriately deal with my work by isolating the
assignments as well as by indicating time required for their fulfilment This will build the
productivity of the work and will help in future (Cottrell, 2017).
