Introduction
Self-reflection allows scope for development and improvisation. In this current scope for self-
reflection in Part 1 A, I had included my role within a team. I had analysed ongoing goals for
teamwork and communication objectives. The scope of the current analysis deal with reflecting
on the reflection practice to highlight areas that needs improvisation and further attention.
Reflection Analysis
I have always been an active team member, good at listening and delivering adequate team
support. In my previous self-reflection I aimed at improving my team management and
leadership skills by providing tasks to team members. I set my goals to encourage and motivate
my team members, but however I have not yet been able to attain the same. My team consist of
people with various mental set-up hence motivating them all at once is not easily possible. I have
to undertake step by step motivation techniques. While one person was extremely motivated to
perform, another was not so enthusiastic to take up the job role.
I have set new goals which are slightly different as considered to existing work goals. As
communication was a part of challenge faced by my team members, I aim to undertake
communication implementation strategy for my team first. Regular discussion of communication
related strategy can aid in improvising their skills and techniques. I lover to lead by examples,
hence I am easily able to make my followers learn from specific examples that I set for them. I
also guide them constantly for enabling them progress on their path.
I have taken self-management tool of maintaining a self-journal, this journal will be used to
record my improvisation in a periodic manner. I will undertake Johari Window reflection
analysis tool for generating a better understanding regarding myself. I will also include Big Five
questionnaire tool for my self-reflection and improvisation purpose. These tools for self-
reflection were extremely helpful for understanding regarding myself. These tools upon regular

updation and analysis helped me gain tremendous knowledge regarding myself. I was also able
to improve gradually by understanding generated from these tools.
I had a very crucial role of coordinating and controlling team members. I acted as a leader in
striving towards designated goals. I was responsible for handling team members and
communicating amongst them. Marking everyone’s progress was my responsibility, which
enabled me to progress. I regularly kept deadlines and target for matching goals to that of
performances. Matching objectives with each of team members objectives further allowed
encompassing goals in accordance to laid down specifics. My stringent deadlines allowed the
team to reach goals comfortably. Team members also developed communication skills and
started interacting with each other for betterment and enhancement of job roles. I always charted
specific achievable those are in line and accordance with measurable outcomes. I have been able
to make marked difference to the team than it was previously. With my thorough knowledge in
accountancy with leadership skills coupled, I was able to establish a distinguished outlook for
my team members.
Conclusion
From analysis of self as an active team member and worker, it can easily be realized that
teamwork is an essential element. In achieving goals related to self-reflection, SMART
objectives needed to be undertaken, which provided several details for the purpose of achieving
time-bound perspective. Though I had desired to designate specific, measurable, achievable and
relevant time-bound objectives I am still lagging to attain some. I feel I cannot attain those
objectives in specific time period and would need more time for the same. Thus, gradual
improvisation can help attain and overcome such specific achievable over a period of time.
