Self-reflection 4
The leadership traits that have been taught to us on Week 7 lecture helped me in
understanding the qualities of leadership that is possessed by me. The traits theory helps me
in understanding the inborn qualities of the leaders and proper discussion is done on the
creativity of those leaders. Previously, I did not have self confidence quality in me and I used
to feel that I won’t be succeeding in any kind of activities as well. But when I started reading
and knowing about the leadership traits, I gained confidence in myself and it helped me in
achieving goals as well. At my Chinese literature group assignment, where I work as a team
leader, I took the most challenging part of the whole assignment as in this I had to guide the
entire team and this helped me in gaining more confidence. Furthermore, when I became the
leader, I made proper use of the entire opportunity. I assigned each members proper task of
their domain and guided them properly as well and I created an action plan as well. From the
assignment, I have gained knowledge on achieving goals with leadership qualities. With this
quality, I could test my core values such as creativity, duty, autonomy. Being a good leader is
not just about what you think to become a powerful leader but you need to let your peers
think you’re powerful and they have the same right as I do. Leadership traits theory can help
us to become a great leader and we need to know our committee well and lead them to work
well within the organization.
