Academic article
Article: Becoming a master manager: A competing values approach
This academic article as stated by Quinn argues that product development of the organization can
be developed by a number of ways (Quinn et al., 2014). The success of the organization depends
on the organizational structure developed and the flexibility of the employees. A well developed
and structured organization tends to gain competitive advantage and organizational success. A
complete value framework of behavior must be adopted by the manager of the organization that
leads to increase in productivity, performance and profitability. The manager must be flexible to
its employees so that the purpose of the organization is serves and the right product is delivered
and service is delivered to the customers. However, too much flexibility might lead to reduction
of communication with co-workers and their managers and supervisors. Therefore, it makes the
task of the manager difficult meet organizational objectives, schedule meetings and manage
individuals and teams of employees. Systems organizations are created keeping in mind the goals
and objectives of the company and with mutual respect and understanding from the management
and the employees. When the employees in the organization are flexible and uncovered to the
openness among each other, the office will begin to lose its standard and work culture primarily
to a turn down in their career and performance.

communication, flexibility of the employees and sustainability development leads to
organizational success. Managers need to analyze and understand the behavior of the employees
to deliver positive output. This can be seen in the editorial which talks about John Vollmer. John
Vollmer was a winning manager and promoted expansion and growth and protected major
contracts (John Vollmer et al. 2013). He reacted to the threats of the business and occupied
employees to solve the matter though competent contact and interaction and sustainability of the
business. He laid down groundwork for understanding, analysing and examining the behaviour
of the workers that resulted in constructive presentation, output and profitability. He produced
ideas and positive opinions in the place of work so that managerial aims and objectives are
assembled with self-development and knowledge during the evaluation.
