Everyone can be, but effective leadership requires the commitment in terms of
professional excellence as well as integrity. Therefore to an effective leader’s one must
establish a habit of self-reflection, professional development along with life-long learning
(Cooper 2015). As an individual who is aiming to be an effective leader, I have learned that
coming up with efficient development plans is part of the journey towards effective
leadership. It is essential to reflect on the current crop of leaders and the trend of leadership
and examine whether they meet the objectives of a great leader. For instant great business
leaders are expected to develop a vision, own the vision in an articulated manner to drive it to
completion (Nguyen, Mia, Winata, and Chong 2017). I believe effective leadership is one
that combines servant and transformative leadership styles. In this paper I will explain how I
will transform into an effective leader through establishing a vision, setting goals and
objective as well as creating an action plan that will enable my dream come true.
Vision
My vision is to be a leader who can deliver services to every member of my
organization with due diligence as a reliable and effective leader. I am working towards
being a leader whose emulate servant leadership style but with the minds and traits of a
transformational leader. It is imperative to note that transformational leadership has been
branded as the most effective leadership styles that could be used in most business situations
(Amanchukwu, Stanley, and Ololube 2015). Following this theory of effective leadership, I
believe that my skills, as well as plans, are inclined towards developing as a transformation
leader. It has to be noted that a transformational leader is one who believes in changes that
transform the entire organization to implement changes that would benefit the company from
the future market trends (Nguyen, Mia, Winata, and Chong 2017). In the course of learning

team leader while working on completing a project. Therefore, as an effective leader, I
worked towards ensuring that providing direction to all the junior members of the team. The
fact that I was in the top position, my aim was always to drive the team to greater heights of
success by making sure that we achieved our set goal as well as objectives promptly
(Anderson and Sun 2017). Furthermore, I learned I had gained effective communication
skills which have come in handy while finding a solution or solving problems facing the
team.
Objective
An effective leader is supposed to sponsor the growth of his or her organisation. I
have played an essential role in the past in ensuring that all my team members obtained
higher scores. However, in the future, I will aim at ensuring that every person in my
organization grows with the firms by inoculating an organisational culture that boosts self-
confidence (Aktas, Gelfand, and Hanges 2016). I do understand that as a transformational
leader I have to help all the members of the company since it will help in not only the
development of their careers but also the more effortless transformation of the company
toward a successful future. All this can be achieved with a smooth flow of communication
between the managers and the staff members. Therefore, as an effective leader, I will aim to
enhance communication through investment in management and communication training to
streamline communication between employees and their leaders.

among the workers. When everyone in the organization is happy, he or she would be

achieve their goals is an effective way if motivation. This would create an environment that
promotes changes as well as increased productivity in the company since every employee

As I work towards being an effective leader, I have learned that developing an action
plan would help me attain my visions and objectives. To attain the set objective, I will use
