This assignment delves into the critical aspects of leading and managing strategic business projects. It begins by explaining project quality, emphasizing the importance of meeting required needs and integrating management functions. The document highlights the necessity of a robust quality policy, clear responsibilities, and well-defined objectives to ensure project quality standards are met. It also covers seven commonly used tools for project quality assurance, including Cause and Effect diagrams (fishbone diagrams) for identifying problem causes, the 5 Why’s technique for root cause analysis, Quality Control Charts for bottleneck identification, the Seven-run rule for detecting non-random variations, Run charts for tracking project development, Scatter Diagrams for variable relationship analysis, and Histograms for process pattern demonstration. The assignment further explores the challenges of leadership, reasons for project failure, key traits of successful team leaders, the link between strategic business objectives and project management goals, and essential elements for project success. The student assignment also includes project scope statement, project milestones, project deliverables, work breakdown structure, project schedule and activity diagram.

Project Quality Explained
The quality of the project is dependent on satisfying the needs that are needed to be
undertaken and it should consists of the different functions of management. A quality policy,
responsibility and objectives is needed to be improved such that confidence is needed to be
provided for meeting the quality standards of the project. The customer requirement should be
analysed and negative consequences should be evaluated for detecting the errors in the project
and manage the responsibility of the user.
Seven Commonly known tools for project quality assurance
The following are the 7 known tools that are used for ensuring project quality such as:
Cause and Effects – It is also called as fish bone diagram and it used for the
demonstration of the different cause of a problem in the project. For using the tool firstly the
problem in the project is needed to be identified and written as the head of the fish and the
cause of the problem is written as the spine of the fish.

The 5 Why’s – It is used for exploring the relationships of cause and effect for the
problem identified during the progress of the project. The main goal of this tool is to identify
the root cause of the problem and uncover multiple root causes. There are no specific rules
about the questions and the time duration for continuing searching of the problem.
Quality Control Chart – It can be flow chart or pareto chart that is used for the
identification of bottleneck in the work process. It helps in getting a picture about the current

scenario and the issues in the project for application of improvement process. The defects can
be prioritized according to their occurrences and the efficiency of project management can be
improved.
The Seven-run rule – Using the rule the data points are analysed in comparison with the
mean. If there are 7 data points in the row are below mean, above mean, increasing or
decreasing an examination is needed to be made for the problems (Takanen et al., 2018). It is
used for filtering the random variation for the production processes.
Run chart – It a line graph which is plotted with respect to time by collecting the data
and finding patterns in the project development process. It can be used for demonstrating the
running process and is a significant tool that is used at the beginning of the project for
revealing important information.

Scatter Diagrams – It is used for demonstrating the relationship between different
variables and representing the cause and effect. It can help in identification of satisfaction level
of the customer and improve the business process by providing training to the representatives.
Histograms – It is used for demonstrating the pattern of the typical process and
triggering the data collected (Grainger & Weir, 2016). For ensuring that an adequate data
