MAIN BODY
Evaluating theories, approaches and strategies of effectively managing and leading teams
by leading remote teams to achieve success
Leading teams helps on knowing the performances of the individual and how they work
collaboratively in successfully achieving the objectives and tasks at large scale. Teams are
managed and evaluated effectively so that there their work performance is being analyzed. For
leading teams there are some major theories which are applied so that the performance of
individuals is analyzed in appropriate manner. It is very important that teams ensure each
individual’s performance so that it does not hamper productivity of individuals’ attaining their
objectives in the tasks (Larson and De Church, 2020). Effective management of the teams is very
important for knowing that all tasks are being completed on time so that major changes are taken
in turn to avoid any problem and issues being faced and seek growth and development at large
scale. For evaluating and effectively managing and leading teams to achieve success, some
theories are discussed which helps to know impact of these on leading teams. Some of leadership
theories for effectively managing and leading teams are explained as below –
Transformational Theory – Transformational theory of leadership is defined and worked where
the leader works with the team, beyond their self interests to identify change at large scale in the

team and in the performance of members (Siangchokyoo and et.al., 2020). This helps in creating
a vision to guide the change by inspiration, influence and creating change with the members of
the group. This helps in knowing that what modifications and changes are to be made and
observed at large scale. The transformational theory helps in creating value for the
transformations which are created to analyze and evaluate that the leading teams are working
effectively and are working towards their goals and objectives to attain success.
Behavioural Theory – Behavioural theory explains that the success of a leader is based on the
behaviour rather than the natural attributes and skills (Harrison, 2018). This theory impacts on
leading teams as behaviour of individuals while working in team is analyzed and evaluated at
large scale and this helps in knowing that what ways of growth and development are created by
the leader to ensure that individuals are working in effective and appropriate manner. This theory
involves observing and evaluating the actions of leader and how they are responding in specific
situations.
Apart from this, there are some major leadership approaches which help in describing that
how the leading and managing of teams can take place and how the remote teams can be
effectively managed at large scale. These approaches are described below –
Democratic Leadership Approach – This approach is also known as participative leadership in
which the members of team participate more in the decision – making process at large scale
(Nedelko and et.al., 2021). This helps in knowing that how effectively the teams are managed
and what are the values of the groups and leaders which helps in evaluating the perspectives of
growth and development for the teaks being undertaken. With the help of this leadership
approach the main aim of the tasks are achieved and the decisions are not biased.
Autocratic Leadership Approach – It is the approach where one leader controls all the decisions
and takes all the inputs from other group members. This helps in knowing that leaders make
choices which are based on their own beliefs and this does not involves any suggestion from the
other team members (Caillier, 2020). Autocratic Leadership Approach helps in knowing that the
team members are also to be involved within decision making process which helps in creating
value of work and completion of task on time. It is very important the remote teams are managed
effectively in the remote areas also.
To achieve success, it is very important that the work is being undertaken on time and
that there are aspects as to how the changes are to be made accordingly while working in the

team. The multiple and remote teams are focused on for carrying out the tasks effectively and
how effectively they are managed at large scale. The remote teams are managed effectively in
the manner that their daily work schedule are being managed by the leaders and what tasks they
have to perform are also undertaken at large scale.
Tools and techniques assessing and developing for current and future team capabilities,
requirements and balancing of skills with highlighting best practices in both areas

capabilities, requirements and balancing of the skills of the team members. It is very important
that the teams are being managed and are framed in a manner such that the team members help in
analyzing and creating value of their work at large scale (Schoemaker and et.al., 2018).
The techniques which help in assessing the current and future team capabilities, requirements

skills as how they perform the tests.
Asking the teams to prepare self – assessment so that they are able to judge and identify
their strengths and loopholes in performing their tasks and activities at large scale.

performing and what is the scale on which their performance can be rated during the
current and in future situations (Schoemaker and et.al., 2018).

My core values and ethics were shaped for becoming a leader and manager in knowing
that transformational leadership theory is helpful in knowing and enhancing the changes which
are undertaken to improve the performance while working with the team (Koo and et.al., 2018). I
was also able to initiate the communication which helps in manner to improve and enhance the
skills and capabilities when I become manager or leader. There are some basic ethics and values
which are to be considered as important and these will help me in knowing that I am able to
become effective leader and manager while working in the team. I will shape my values and
ethics in such manner that I seek growth and development with my team members. These ethics
and values are mentioned as below –
I will respect everyone equally and there will be no biasness in the decisions which will
be taken by me.
I will communicate effectively and openly with team members so that if they have any
issue or problem they can communicate and coordinate with me in positive manner.
I will manage the stress effectively so that the team members do not work under pressure
and by that I will ensure that the tasks and work are being performed in significant
manner (Bhaduri, 2019).
I will be able to mediate fairly and in manner which will help me in knowing that there
are some decisions which are to be taken and are considered as important. I will make
and initiate them fairly so that there are no confusions and problems between the team
members.
The leadership theories which are being described for me becoming an effective an efficient
leader and manager is –
Transformational Leadership Approach which will help me in working towards changes
and modification required in the team. This leadership approach will help me in knowing that the
decisions are being taken at large scale by keeping on mind the growth and development of the
team members. I will also work with the team so that I am able to create self – awareness among
them and incline them towards the aspects of growth and development through objectives which
are to be achieved. I will motivate and encourage the team members so that they are able to
analyze and create value for their work in positive manner (Crosby and et.al., 2018). With the
help of following this leadership theory, I will deliver and ensure the work is being undertaken in
proper manner.

National Trust Case Study – With the help of this case study, I will be able to endorse my
thoughts around the values and ethics as a leader and manager by explaining the aspects of
growth and development at large scale. The case study is described as below –
Background – The National Trust is the conversation organization in England, Wales and
Northern Ireland with over 4 million members. There are hundreds of sites around UK which
employs significant workforce and works with thousands of volunteers (Asbari, 2020). For
ensuring safe learning for the training programs to be provided to the volunteers, National Trust
with the help of other e – learning company provided their e – learning courses. This e - learning
company was able to resolve the technical issues which the National Trust was facing. A partner
organization Highfield e – learning to the National Trust helped in solving the technical issues
and problems. The National Trust thus collaborated and worked with the e – learning.
This helped me in knowing that the issues and problems which National Trust was
facing. With the help of this, I will be able to analyze and evaluate the scale as too how the
changes were framed at high scale and this helped me in denoting that by working with the
effective teams I will be improve my team member performance and will motivate and
encourage the team members (Su, 2019). I will also change the patterns of work where there are
problems and issues being arisen so that their performance is evaluated at large scale and in
effective manner. I will also take in charge of the activities and tasks which are performed by my
team members.
CONCLUSION

effectively is an essential skill for managers and leaders. Leading the teams assists individuals in
a team to successfully attain their organizational objectives. There are various theories such as
transformational theory, demographic leadership approach and behavioral theory for leading and
management of teams in an organization. Best practices for management and leadership styles
can be realized from the theories. Their tools and techniques such as experience and balance of
skills for development of current capacities and skills as well future capacities and skills in teams
can help in creating values at work on a large scale. The tools such as good communication, well
coordinated tasks etc. can help in development and identification of best practices for work. The
reflection states the application of theories and techniques in real life to shape the values and
