Mission
The mission of Red cross is to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the
battlefield, endeavours—in its international and national capacity—to prevent and alleviate human
suffering wherever it may be found. A non-profit organisation uses its profit income for further
growth of the company rather than distributing it between the members, shareholders, etc. These
non profit organisations receive money on which they do not have to pay any kind of income tax
which mean they are tax exempted (Alonso and Harnett, 2018). The organisation has to be provide
openness, accountability, honesty and trustworthiness to all the people who have put in money, faith
and time into this organisation. Australian Red Cross took formation in 1914 and its purpose is
humanitarian aid. The decision making body is the National Council who delegates responsibilities
to the CEO and National Board (Xin, 2015).
Vision
Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. There are
a lot of tasks and duties which are endless and very essential for an organisation to run effectively
and smoothly. The issues related to a red cross Australian non profit organisation are that there is no
stable income and the planned budgeting is very difficult to follow. That makes the organisation not
achieve its goals and will not let the organisation run as planned. When the income of the non profit
organisation is not stable then how they show results to the people who invested so much for the
organisation (Haski-Leventhal and Foot, 2016).
Values
Red Cross follows the values and principles related to humanity and integrity. It promotes mutual
understanding, friendship, co-operation and lasting peace amongst all peoples. The non profit
organisation can not run the organisation like a business. There first priority has to be the local
aims and the business objectives come second at the priority list. Volunteers involved in red cross
Australian organisation has 60,000 people and it is funded by cooperate partnership and public
donations. Red cross is serving secure and safe supply of blood. Red cross is increasing
development and international aid throughout the country and internationally.
Financial aspects
The plus point of red cross Australian organisation is that it got its 62% of the income from state,
federal and territory government for non blood humanitarian services (Ward, 2018). But the
stakeholders of this type of organisation have to be shown the process and achievement of the
company so that they do not loss the belief in the organisation because the income may fall further.

Structure
Red cross follows flat structure. The organisation has to get the right employment for its
organisation with minimum wages for the employees or people who believe in that organisation
who voluntarily want to help (NA and Berry, 2016). Even if all the funding is given to red cross
organisation Australian, putting in money for the growth of the organisation is risky and is like
gambling because the staff is not on contracts to stay. This is so because the income of the
organisation is not fixed.
Modelling
To critically understand a non-profit organisation and third sector organisation (TSO) is that
they are not dependent on the government and their value of this organisation is to improve the
social welfare than to distribute the profit with the members or stakeholders. The purpose of red
cross non-profit Australian organisations is humanitarian aid which helps the refugees, homeless
and victims of natural disasters (Styles and et.al., 2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that Red cross Australian is well established and
helping a lot of people within and internationally. The organisation helps the refugees, homeless and
victims of natural disasters. Red cross is only dependent on its stakeholders. And there main aim is
to help and reuse the profit for the people and it does not get distributed for personal needs. The
organisation is not a business but a tax free organisation which helps the society and people being
its first priority.
