When we initiate work on any project first thing, we look for is the growth and the learnings which
we will be getting, crucial for the team’s growth. After further discussions and goal setting to
enhance the productivity within the setup we took next step which is to design a blueprint for
better understanding. Thus, we worked to build a blueprint for the Hospitality industry, and I did a
comparative market analysis taking different restaurants from various segments. We made a plan
to get diverse set of data by visiting the restaurant and connecting it with multiple times so that
we can get perspective about the tools/techniques required to increase the productivity. We
chose Spice Temple Restaurant to conduct a Gemba walk based on the discussion with the

On commencement of the project, we decided to map everything for which essential was to keep a
track of all the steps taken in direction of achieving our goal. By increasing productivity of the
process, and to map everything aligned to our goal we made a business blueprint having all data
which we collected from market analysis and all stakeholder’s part of this setup. After working for
a while over the project there are few findings which we get, showing lack from our side are –
inequitable decision making and poor conflict resolution skills which we identified and worked to
correct it as soon as possible. Moving forward there is a need to increase our pace over the process
and to look for best results. In order to do it, the crucial step was to adopt best practices and agile
tools helpful in getting desired results. We utilized two agile tools – LeankitKanban and Binfire,
which not only allowed us to keep track of the tasks allotted to each team member, team planning,
monitoring, and project coordination but also broaden our area of focus on improving work flow by
allowing us to see our work and process, to plan and manage our work, to collaborate more
