Introduction
This assessment is based on the topic of leading lean project which reflects the implementation
process of lean project management to build dream home. This assessment represents the
identification process of suburb appropriate for building dream home along with the description
of the land size in reference with budget that could be spend on the selected land. Apart from
this, the assessment also demonstrates market research and identification process of potential
home builders for further efficiently carrying out construction process of dream home project.
Moreover, the assessment is develop on the basis of project management process which further
reflects stakeholders required within the project, factors that influence design and layout of
dream home project along with the explanation of best lean practices and their implementation
for efficiently accomplishing lean project management of the dream home project.

1. Select and explain the project management processes (either from
PMBOK or PRINCE2 or a combination of any best practices you have
learned in this unit) that can help you:
The project management process of PRINCE2 is undertaken in consideration in the project of
dream home as this project management process is appropriate for dream home project as this
process is generally regarded as flexible method that provides effective guidance for efficiently
managing successful project management and also enables to meet certain specific requirements
within project. PRINCE2 project management process generally reflects structure project
management method which further emphasis to divide project into controllable and manageable
stages as it supports project success (Sohi, et. al., 2016). The seven processes of PRINCE2 is an
effective process which undertake the consideration of effective and success flow of dream home
project process as stated below:
a. Choose the Suburb and decide the land size to buy.
The best and most appropriate suburb for the establishment and development of dream home
project is Northam in Western Australia as this suburb is regarded as one of the best suburb in
Midland. The start-up project process of PRINCE2 undertake the consideration of this
perspective as this process includes a project brief which reflects business caser, best way to do
the project, detailed stage plan and initiation stage of the dream home project which further
support in selecting best suburb for the project execution. Moreover, Northam is regarded
appropriate for the dream home project as it consist efficient medical facilities, neighbourly
spirit, less traffic, peace and quiet environment which further supports it as one of the best
suburb in Australia. The people that mostly found in the suburb area are families with kids,
country lovers, singles, professional and retirees which makes the area as friendly and helpful

public convenience along with the availability of parks, hospitals and supermarkets which
reflects it as ideal suburb for people who generally seek for independent, friendly and helpful
area and also for developing dream home project. Moreover, Northam is also regarded as city

that sustain peaceful atmosphere along with the facilities of train and bus for travelling other city
sides. For the dream home project, Northam is most appropriate as it provides beautiful
localities, parklands and pleasant environment for people.

The process of initiating the project of PRINCE2 undertake the consideration of this decision as
this process decide the land size through identifying aspects such as project scope, requirement,
budget and risks. Moreover, the most appropriate land size that could be decided for the dream
home project in the selected suburb is 1087m2 as this decision is dependent on the price of the
properties as this aspect directly impacts the overall project execution and budget. Apart from
this, the land size of 1087m2 is decided as this land is appropriate for the dream home project as
this land size enables to develop the dream home with standard quality. The land size also

determining the project process such as selecting appropriate suburb, land size, builders and
stakeholders within the project process. This assessment also aims to demonstrate the factors
which consist the ability to determine and influence design and layout of dream home project.
