Summary
The assignment is presenting an explanation of various activities which are used for advancing
the performance of the organization. There are various activities that are taken to enhance the
performance of the organization. The main motive of every organization is to provide better
learning and training methods to the learners as employees through which they can put their
every effort for the accomplishment of organizational goals. Here, this assignment helps to
summarize how an organization can increase the engagement of learner at the workplace of the
organization. Engagement of learner can be engaged by applying several approaches and theories
such as Bloom's Taxonomy and Humber's essential ingredients. Along with this several
strategies can be implemented in the organization for increasing the learner engagement. Along
with this, Thomson practice as an activity is also described in this assignment for the
advancement of organizational performance. The Thomson practice is based on individual
practice for professional values and for the workplace. Along with this, the impact of
organizational culture is also summarized in this assignment. It specifies how culture can depend
on the background and how culture can influence the interpersonal relationship with others. The
different views of Tom and Eva are summarized in this assignment. The main motive of every
organization is to provide better learning and training methods to the learners as employees
through which they can put their every effort for the accomplishment of organizational goals in
an effective and appropriate manner. These activities are designed by our group members, where
we have decided to analyze how the learner engagement can be enhanced in the context of the
organization. Along with this, we have identified how effective strategy can improve the
efficiency of the employees and learners of the organization.

Activity 1: Increase learner engagement
For conducting any activity in the organization, it is necessary to have the proper engagement of
every person involved in the activity. Every activity is conducted to accomplish particular
objectives. As same in the organization, there are various departments and every department
have different objectives. So at the time of conducting such types of activities, it is necessary that
person should engage in that activity, without proper engagement it is impossible to accomplish
the objectives. For developing proper engagement, the learner should provide proper training in
relation to understand the tasks being done in the organization (Whelan, 2016). For increasing
the engagement of learner the organization should develop and implement effective strategies to
enhance the learner engagement such are:
Examine the needs and skills of the learners: It is necessary to identify and evaluate
the needs and skills of the learners, through which organization can enhance their
efficiency through learning and development programmers.
Use personalization and interactivity methods: The strategy which can implement to
identify skills of learners by developing better communication with them and by
interacting them.
Apart from all these strategies, the organizational managers should implement Bloom’s
Taxonomy which is basically used to classify educational learning objectives into different
levels of complexity. Bloom’s taxonomy is playing an essential role in enhancing the
engagement of learners. Along with, this approach helps in identifying learning objectives at 6
different levels through the lowest level to the upper level. This reduces the complexities issues
within the organization and provides better learning and development to the learners.
The approach which can be implemented by the organization to increase engagement of learner
by applying humbler’s essential ingredients. This approach helps in evaluating essential
concepts which can be applied for better engagement of learners as per their skills and needs.
With the help of these essentials, the organization can increase learner engagement at the
workplace of the organization which leads to the advancement of the organization (Whelan,
2016).

Activity 2: The impact of culture
The impact of organizational culture depends on how employees are working and understanding
the concept of organization. It is essential to understand the aspects of organizational cultures, its
values, and other certainties. The main motive of every organization is to develop and maintain
an effective organizational culture which develop the effective interpersonal relationship of
employees in the organization. There are various types of organization such as where people are
bound to make relation with other departments they can note make their relations with
employees of other departments (Whelan, 2016). It can be analyzed that organizational culture is
playing an essential role in the context of advancement in the performance of employees and it
directly creates an impact on the employees. There are various ways in which the culture of an
organization can create an impact on the performance of employees are:
Develop employee potential: Effective culture of organization enhance employee potential and
engaged them passionately.
Values and norms of the organization: The values and norms of the organization should be
agreed by the employees of the organization as employees are the main aspects on which profit
of organization fully depends (Ahmed, & Shafiq, 2014).
Support the employees: The employees of the organization should get full support as proper
support increase their engagement towards the accomplishment of organizational objectives.

Activity 3: Thompson practice
Thompson practice is playing an essential role whether in group activities or in the context of the
organization. The main motive of every organization is to develop organizational values, develop
effective theories and implement certain strategies to enhance the performance of employees in
the organization. Thompson practice states that an organization can enhance its performance by
analyzing the skills and abilities of the employees. In such a way at the time of conducting the
activities, every group member should have basic knowledge regarding performing every task of
activity. It is the duty of team leader to analyze the performance of employees through which
proper training can be provided through learning and development programs. Proper learning
and development enhance the engagement of the employees in the activity at the time of
performing tasks. For developing proper engagement, the learner should provide proper training
in relation to understand the tasks being done in the organization (Leberman, & McDonald,
2016). In these ways, Thompson practice suggests to develop engagement and enhance
organizational value and culture.
