A learning contract refers to an agreement or document which outlines actions
of an individual where learner promises to achieve the academic success. This
statement is in conjunction with the positive results of the module which is
Project/Placement Design and Implementation. It includes plan of action as well as
in-depth analysis on how the mentioned sections or aim of the topic will be achieved.
For this, researcher need to set some objectives, which need to be attain by them
within given time frame and in effective manner (Agnew, Pill and Orrell, 2017). It has
been identified that the aim assist in improving my understanding and knowledge as
it is self directed process. On the other hand, while conducting the research,
investigator have faced a lot of problem related to time, money and resources. Along
with this, sometimes researcher feel less motivated while conducting this research in
an effective manner. There are some issues while preparing a business plan, as it
need to be within the amount given in the case study. So researcher need to mention
each and every detail in effective manner.

As a result of this project I am able:

Section 3: Justification
The justification will be given by with the help of intense research, by
collecting data and facts and with the help of data analysis. As per the thoughts of
Gregory Mocko, case studies are generally used to design research in order to
determine a phenomenon or to validate effective method or to generate effective
hypotheses. As per the analysis it has been identified that, one of the best and most
effective method is case study in order to conduct the research in an effective
manner. There are various objectives of this research which includes brief discussion
on the topic, its aim and many others (Arbenz, 2016). As per the given case study it
has been identified that the owner wants to sell their existing business in order to
establish their new business venture which is Monet Holiday Park. They wants to
develop the holiday park in a land located at United Kingdom, Essex, Chelmsford.
The land is located in Lot 3 which is a wonderful mixture of water, mature woodland
and pasture land. It is the place located outside the popular village. In order to start
this venture near a lake, owner wants huge amount as investment. For this, they sell
their both business which includes Monet Guest House and Monet Restaurant.
Along with this both the owner sell their respective houses. Researcher needs to
develop a business plan, in order to establish their new business ventures
effectively, within given time period and within the amount. For this both the owner
hire an investigator in order to prepare a business plan after examining all the
internal and external factors. Researcher need to conduct PESTEL analysis along
with Porter's five forces model for examining and analysing the whole market area.
Section 4: Methods
In the present method, researcher have choose simulation method so that
they can conduct the whole research in an effective manner. Simulation method
refers to a similar imitation or duplication of the project (Ball and Lewis, 2018). In
various techniques simulation is being used by the researchers such as duplication
of large project. With the aid of this technique large number of researchers provide
training sessions, testing risky projects and work on hazardous machineries.
Simulation is the process which is very interactive and by using effective
technologies they can develop similar sample projects. As per the view of Frontline
solver 2019, it has been said that simulation refers to a flexible methodology used by
organisations as well as researchers to examine the behaviour of various business
activities. In order to develop the new project it is required to make a dummy project
in advance. So that they can perform their task in an effective manner on a project.

Section 5: Timetable
In order to prepare a project or organising and managing a project in an
effective manner, time table plays very essential role. Effective timetable is needed
for conducting the research project in an effective manner. It is considered as a
backbone of the research, as time table is required to perform each and every time
(Ball and Lewis, 2019). For every researcher it is very important to have effective
time table in order to complete the whole research within given time frame. Time
table is required to keep the whole project on track, to keep the work real and
effective, to maintain the quality as well as to schedule the whole project carefully.
With the aid of effective time table, it results in reduction of cost, enhance the

What is a Learning Contract/Agreement/Plan?

It is a formal document that defines what is expected from you while working on the
work based project. The learning contract sets out the parameters for the task that
you are expected to undertake so as to meet the assessment criteria (learning
outcomes). You would need to focus on the elements given in the above proforma
for learning and delineate the details in the learning contract/plan and focus on the
following key generic components:
 What are you going to learn?
 How are you going to learn it?
 What objectives are you going to set?
 What are the target date(s) for each activity and completion?
 How are you going to know that you have learned and achieved the set
objectives?
 What evidence are you going to generate to prove that you have learned it?
This is your responsibility to tailor the above learning contract to the case study. You
are required to explicitly articulate what objectives you are going to set, what
activities would be undertaken, which sources of information or data need to be
collected to ensure that the learning outcomes are achieved. You would need to
discuss and seek guidelines from Tutors/supervisors. You would need to agree
/negotiate the learning contract with your Tutor/supervisor, include the signed copy
of the learning contract in final submission and submit it along with the portfolio. It is
to ensure that transparent, feasible and verifiable set of activities are established in
the learning contract which enables you to meet the learning outcomes of the

things which are going to be covered while accomplishing organisational goals and
objectives in an effective manner. As a result, effective business plan help the
entrepreneur in a fruitful manner, who wants to start their own business venture. In
the present context, a business plan is going to be develop by students for Monet
holiday park , who wants to establish a Holiday Park, near a lake (Clifford and et. al.,
2017). It is a place which is located at United Kingdom, Essex, Chelmsford. The land
is located in Lot 3 which is a wonderful mixture of water, mature woodland and
pasture land. It is the place located outside the popular village. It includes various
steps which directly assists them in order to maintain a strong brand position at the
competitive marketplace and help them in attaining the objective of this project. In
addition to this, it has been identified that there are various stages included in the
business plan (Pinkard and et. al., 2017). These stages include decision making,

problem solving and situational analysis. With the assistance of this, individual will be
able to grab opportunities as well as maintain strong brand position at the
competitive marketplace. Along with this, the location decided by the owner is
located outside the popular village, gives it a private and central position. The place

In today's competitive environment, it has been identified that hospitality
sectors is dynamic as taste, preferences and choices of customers changes on a
regular basis. Along with this it includes various uncertainties and risk, which need to
be identified by in advance, so that effective solutions will be developed in advance
(Cooper and Foan, 2017). It has been mentioned in the case, that the owner of
Monet guest house and restaurants decides to sell their business venture and
establish a new entity which is Monet Holiday Park near a lake. Location which is
purchased by the owner is located at United Kingdom. It is a place which includes
mixture of pasture land, water and mature woodland. There are several lakes which
have been created in order to enhance the wildlife and nature. The property includes
various other activities such as public houses, restaurants, local shops and so on.
This includes accommodation for around 10 self-contained log cabins along with
camping facilities. For this, they have decided to sell their existing business ventures
along with their homes, so that they will be able to gather enough funds for buying a
land they required.
2. Literature Review (models and theories)
Literature review refers to a kind of articles review which is published by the
researchers. It is mainly done on the basis of available research paper and articles
which is published by a researcher. In order to conduct a research in an effective

manner, literature review plays very essential role (Ragasa and et. a., 2016). There
are various methods and approaches which is used by researchers so that they can
conduct the business plan in an effective manner. Business plan is developed for
Monet, as it is the well named organisation who wants to establish a Monet Holiday
Park near a lake. One of the business model used by researcher is Three Sigma's
Theory:
As per the thoughts of Do and et. al., (2018) it is the model which is generally
the application of another model which is developed by Peter Drucker. In this theory,
it has been said that failure of various business depends upon the assumptions
develop by them which is the foundation of new business venture become invalid.
One of the reason behind this is that environment is dynamic and uncertain, which
affects the pre defined plans and procedures. In order to avoid such situations, it is
required to examine the basic assumptions on a regular basis. With the help of this
model, organisations will be able to examine and identify the assumptions as per the
requirements. It is the model used by new business ventures in order to identify the
assumptions which is developed by them while planning new business entity.
Porter's five forces Model: One of the model used by companies in order to
establish a new business venture. Porter's Five Forces Model is a tool used to
examine the level of intensity of competition available at the marketplace. There are
five elements which includes:
Threat of new entrants: Hospitality industry is one of the most profitable
industry, therefore it attracts large number of new companies in order to start their
own business ventures (Rueda, 2016). In case of Monet Holiday Park, threats of new
entrants is low as there are only few of competitor resorts available within the
country. But on the other hand, this industry need to invest huge amount of funds in
order to establish the holiday park.
Bargaining power of buyers: Buyers are the one who can demand high
product quality in return of low price. As in today's competitive world, it has been
identified that buyers are the king. If there is low prices of products, large number of
customers attract towards the company. But on the other hand, if there are no
substitutes available at the marketplace there might be low revenue for the company.
In context of Monet Holiday Park, bargaining power of buyers are low as there are
only few holiday parks available within the same country.
Bargaining Power of suppliers: With the help of strong bargaining power of
suppliers, they have the right to sell raw material at higher cost to the buyers. It will
affects the overall profit of the firms in a negative manner (Garbero and
Songsermsawas, 2018). If company having large number of suppliers who can
provide them required materials within their range, they can easily switch to other
supplier. In the present context of Monet Holiday Park, bargaining power of suppliers
are low as there are large number suppliers available at the marketplace, who can
provide the raw material within given time frame and in affordable price.

Industry rivalry: It is one of the major factor which largely affects the working
of an organisation within the marketplace. It affects the overall performance as well
as profitability of the company. In this, companies compete aggressively at the
marketplace in order to capture large number of market shares. In reference to
Monet Holiday Park, there are low competition available at the marketplace as this is

Threats of substitutes: It refers to the method where customers can easily

includes tax policy, governmental rules, labour law, environmental law and many
