INTRODUCTION
Process of attaining knowledge and improving self-profile is known as learning which
continues within the life of the person. Development process is defined as the function of further
upgradation or upliftment of the particular subject. Continuous development and learning in the
life play a vital role in their personality.
The following report will be highlighting the reflection of the things learnt from the
presentation which has directed towards personal development. Further, in the report
development plan of skills will be discussed that will depict the various effects on the career.
MAIN BODY
Learning and development process
Learning is a continuous process which ultimately leads to development in respective field in
which a person has learnt. In the learning process a person learns every new thing on a every
new step and develops their personality. A person may or may not be conscious about the
learning process which happens in their day to day life. Steps in the learning process is discussed
below:
Unconscious incompetence
In this stage a person doesn’t know about their incompetence and the field they lack behind. The
incompetency rate is also unknown because of the complete lack of awareness of the subject. In
this stage a person gets to know what the subject is and not its containments. They just have an
instance of the topic which they will be learning further.
Conscious incompetence
During this stage a person comes to know about what they have to study in the field and what
will they learn from the respective subject. On this step a person can see a map that will be
followed to reach the respective goal. In this stage the learners get the awareness about the
subject and the fields in which the knowledge and skills will be developed by studying the
respective topic.
Conscious competence
On this step a candidate knows the various areas and aspects that should be developed and the
same will be started. The learner feels confident about the subject and develops interest as the
initials of the field are clearly understood by them. during this stage the person may know about

the field and have a bit of knowledge but the efficiency for answering the question for the
particular subject is not gained.
Unconscious competence
On this final stage a learner becomes a master of the respective field and can work on assignment
related to the field. this stage is achieved after getting efficient knowledge of the subject and
learning its implications in practical life. On this point a person becomes able to create a
productive outcome from the knowledge. By attaining this stage, the candidate can be counted in
the developed individual list of the field because the development process has also come to a
higher level with the learning stage.
I have learnt different things from this module including the concept of sustainable development
and its importance in our life. this module has enlightened us with the knowledge of construction
and building process. I came to know about several; ways by which the use of non-renewable
resources can be reduced. Various methods for reuse of different things was also learnt.
Importance of learning
Productivity
Productivity in a person increases with increase in their knowledge and experience that is gained
within the life. Development of mind-set with learning different things can increase the
productivity of the person. This leads to the overall improvement in the personality of the
individual. Productivity in different fields can be helpful in the growth of the professional and
personal life. The outcomes of the work done by a person can increase their career growth
because of the increase in productivity. The personal life of a person can also get influenced
from the increased ability to do different things efficiently. This productivity in an individual
encouraged by others and ultimately leads to the motivation in the person.
Adaptability
Adaptability meaning gaining flexibility to survive and sustain in different conditions by
accepting the change and act accordingly (Hallam and Bautista, 2018). This adaptability can be
achieved with higher skills and knowledge developed in the field due to the learning activities.
Continuous learning by a person can increase their ability to adapt different situation and give
their best to survive in the condition. This helps a person in the hard times when different
challenges are being faced.

Profitability
Profits in term of monetary values can be achieved with the good knowledge in different field
which can help in becoming proficient (Bargshady and et.al., 2020). this proficiency in the field
makes a candidate perfect for the role and job they do and it can help in increasing the payroll. In
a business organization also the person can gain higher profits through sound knowledge of the
field which can help them tackle different situations and gain profitability.
Acquiring leadership quality
Learning is a tool that can help a person to develop leade3rship qualities or increase them by
getting more and more knowledge in the field (Denham and Liverette, 2019). By learning
different things a leader can go through any situation and can carry their team with them.
Confidence in leaders can be maintained by learning as they feel more superior if they have more
knowledge. Motivation for leading the team is gained by learning different skills and gaining
knowledge because a leader may feel retarded if they lack in skills. The leaders with sound
knowledge in the fie3ld are admired by their subordinate and superior.
Impact of learning on future studies
The learning for sustainable consumption in context with the construction sector will be proving
as a positive point in my future growth (Forster and et.al., 2019). Preparing this module has
increased my interest in the respective field and I will try to gain more knowledge in the
particular sector. Studying this topic, I have known about various ways towards sustainable
development. Learning will impact both my personal and professional life.
Learning different things will help in the growth of my overall personality by which I
will be able to achieve different goals in my life. learning process throughout my life will be
impacting as a positive point in my personal development as it will enhance my personality.
My professional life can be heavily impacted with learning new skills and gaining
knowledge and it can make me more proficient in the field. Diversity gained by learning
different thing can make me more productive in my career and I can achieve organizational goals
effectively.

Plans for development and career growth
Development of the individual can be very beneficial in personality improvement of an
individual if it is attempted effectively (Syakur and Sabat, 2020). Continuous development will
be my aim for my future so that I don’t lack behind in the field and I can gain continuous
perfection. My future development plans include my academics which will focus on my core
development in the field. During my academic sessions and after that too, I will try to become
more skilled in my field by learning different abilities that can help me in my career growth. For
gaining diversity in my skill set I will focus on different aspects such as technological
knowledge, creative writing skills etc.
Technological
technological enhancement in every field is increasing day by day and to cope up with it I will
be trying to develop various technological skills so that I can increase the chances of secure
future (Darling-Hammond and et.al., 2020). Using and operating on different technological
equipment will be learnt to gain proficiency in the field. Including technological aspect in my
skill sets will surely increase my chances to create a good income out of it.
Creative writing
I want to become a good writer and in order to do, so I will be learning to write effectively by
reading various guides. I will try to keep reading the work of remarkable authors by which I will
also develop the knowledge of how to write.
Personal experience on presentation
Initial I was very tensed when I came to know about the assignment because I have to present in
front of the whole class. stage fear in me was forcing me to back out from the assignment but
eventually I gathered courage and started preparing for the presentation. When I started making
the presentation I was least interested in the topic but gradually after researching the topic I
started gaining interest. This project has taught me many things that are very important and it
should be focused. While researching on the topic I got aware of the concept of sustainable
development. The harsh impact of human activities on environment and its prevention technique
was learnt that has diverted my mind towards focusing on the Ways in which I can contribute to
the environment by reducing the affecting activities. I have never been this much concerned
towards the nature.

When the time for presenting in front of the whole class and teacher came I was feeling very
nervous as I have never spoke publicly. This stage fear possessed by lowered my confidence
because I had two major fears that was I may do something wrong and my peers will make fun
of me. Second thing that frightened me was the scolding from the lecturer if anything goes
sideways. initially when I started explaining the topic I was very nervous and several times I
fumbled too and I just wanted to end the presentation as quickly as possible. But gradually
gained confidence and spoke without fearing anything. this confidence helped me in giving
effective explanation to my peers. After the presentation Q&A process begin in which my
classmates asked various question regarding the topic and I tried to answer them properly. when
the whole activity ended I was feeling very relaxed and confident too. The overall process helped
me in eliminating the stage fear that is being possessed by me from several years. Although, it is
not completely gone but still it counts for something.
