Title The Good Doctor
Description of the experience – Mona, I saw you open your little clinic today. You
put your stethoscope and doctors coat and then announced that your clinic was
open for business. I was your first patient and you examined me thoroughly.
I was very glad that I had such a good doctor to help me. “You have the elf fever,
one glass of milk and broccoli.
You will be alright,” you said. I was very glad to have such a good doctor examine
me.
Seeing us play, Sean wanted to join in so you told him he could be your nurse and
help you with operation and selling medicine.
You took the chart for body parts from the classroom and hung it behind your
clinic.
When Poppy came in with a headache, Sean and you gave her a hug and some
juice to make her feel better. When Sean wanted to pay as the doctor you happily
gave him the stethoscope.
Poppy I was very happy when you approached Mona And Sean, it was nice to see
you overcome your shyness and make friends.

Opportunities/possibilities/further planning, and or teaching strategies from this experience
Communicating- Poppy is shy and often keeps close to herself. I believe I would like her to focus on developing her social interactive skills, including
her in a simulation play therapy, and observe her how she behaves and performs within the setting.

I would like her to make decision that is more independent and make sure she communicates her feelings and ideas more. I would like to focus on her
talents a bit more. I believe that can help her feel encouraged
I will use the scaffolding technique and encourage her to participate and speak more often. I would also like to include her in team tasks and make
sure she feels included and works better establishing at making social interactions.
Building Relationship- Mona has no problem in communicating with anyone. However, because she is so independent natured, she does not observe
or think about participation until she is intrigued or approached. She is inventive and shows leadership skills at the same time has no problem
following orders
In future I would like her to see make some friends and establish meaningful bonds.
Independent decision – Sean is cheerful and easy-going child, however he lacks in initiating the first step or making an independent decision for
himself.
I would like to focus on Sean’s creativity and independent decision-making skills. I would like to use creative skills strategy using simulation to
encourage him into situation where he needs to come up with plan to help himself or others. This will also improve his cognitive learning skills.
