I work a small psychiatric clinic who runs by nurse practitioners. This clinic mainly see
psychiatric patients but now they want to see also medical patients; those who have diabetes and
hypertension. Evidence show is a goo to combine both so the clinicians don’t miss crucial

information. Some psychiatric patients don’t like to see their primacy care doctors so is a good
idea to capture them while they are in the clinic.
Teacher’s recommendations for the objectives:
You need to make sure you are focusing your attention on the cost of things. Patient needs are
secondary for this exercise. Focus your attention on the cost of care and how it relates to
incorporation of primary care with psy care. Your objective should be related to financial
outcomes. For example, what are you planning to do in your search of medial records? Are you
planning to spend time with an insurance company to see what they pay for and why? Not
entirely sure how your learning activities relate to cost of care? Also, increase quality of life care
is a great outcome for this project you can say you are spending time with Insurance and
accounting folks to learn what they do.
