INTRODUCTION
Portfolio can be considered as accumulation of academic work in which educational
evidence are mainly being utilised, when it comes to evaluate overall work quality (Debowski,
2012). This can be done through focusing upon learning outcomes along with the requirements
as well of different courses. Away with this, report is going to be enclosed with a range of
academic along with professional context that aid readers in identifying the overall importance of
the chosen academic content. Lastly, a summary is also going to be presented that will aid in
enhancing the overall knowledge related to different topic that are being undertaken.
SUMMARY
Present document, which I am going to develop is going to be enclosed with 12 different
topics, which are coming under the professional along with the academic context. Topics like
research techniques, communication skills, students learnings & achievement, Harvard
referencing, literature review, Graphical representation, conclusion and plagiarism as well.
Along with this, I can say that there are some of the topic which I have chosen considering
presentation skills, methodology, critical thinking, study material and more are said to be
enclosed with project as well. Away with this, portfolio is going to show the content within the
useful areas as well that are linked with students. It is being analysed by me that an individual
may effectively analyse competencies, learning process, increase knowledge, offers achievement
within respect of specific projects. On the other hand. I have also analysed that Harvard
referencing, research techniques, along with the literature review basically work effective, which
offers accurate results which make their academics or professional life better.
Considering an effective portfolio, I can easily determine work quality, through which
they could easily meet with all the learnings standards that are available or required. It can be
said by me is that communication skills, graphical representation, presentation skills, references
a student may easily deliver messages to others considering the content as well. On the other
hand, I realised that teachers may understand the work through effective presentation,
communication or graphical representation. Along with this, I can also say that literature review
provides the detail knowledge about any specific topic which make the content authentic and
referencing provide the source of searching which provide the clarification regarding available
information.

While conducting investigation for while developing a project, it can be said that overall,
critical thinking directly gets increased of an individual. With the help of this, knowledge of
research conductor, like me where I can directly gets enhanced as well. On the other hand, the
topics that I have chosen are directly linking with the students of University and better
understanding of these components. On the other hand, it can easily be said that my own
knowledge and learning skills will directly improve that will aid me in becoming task achiever or
finisher. Apart from this, I also realised that plagiarism can be defined as the content which has
been copied from a blog or from any other source. Based on the findings, I can also realise that
professors of the lecturers within the colleges take strict actions like low grades to the individuals
(students), who brought plagiarism in their files (Hamilton, 2018). This is basically being done
with the help of a software which directly checks The authenticity of the work which has been
done by students. On the other hand, I examined that study material can be considered as a tool
which have student in looking into their tasks and help them in getting much more information
then they already have regarding the subject on which the performing project. Away with this, I
can consider referencing within a project for a student, plays a crucial role which directly shows
or helps in understanding that the content which has been included by the student is authentic
and taken from a much more reliable area. On the other side, mythology can also be considered
as one of a crucial element which is needed to be included within the research project because
without research methodology, an investigation cannot be completed. It is been found by me is
that, with the help of research methodology, I can choose right method as per the requirements.
Lastly, conclusion can be considered as an effective element of a project, which provide the
overview regarding their work and it is the final impression of their work.

Harvard Referencing: I have chosen this topic because it plays a crucial in a high
school or for university students. I realised that here are a range of referencing styles that
are available for me or for any other scholars to cite there projects related to the content
which has been written by them. It is being found by me is that, citing a project is not an
easy task to do because pulling out relevant blogs are the sources from which content has
been written requires time and sometimes content taken from website do not have a
copyright which means the data has been taken from another investigation this directly

impacts upon overall project and its authenticity as well. Here, I realised that an
investigator would require to render the information all the data from those articles for
blogs or any other books which has been handwritten by previous investigator. Being as a
researcher, I can easily say that it is essential for me to render information to those writer
whose substance or research they have been acquired for the their completion of project.
In present context, I can say that Harvard referencing could be considered as one of the
critical but simple academic referencing style which is mostly being used by colleges in
order to promote students with the same from which data has been taken.
Communication skill: In present context, I can say that, communication is the crucial
skill which is required by an individual in both academic and professional context and
this is why I have taken this topic in front. In present time, communication has been one
of the vital source through which an individual can directly communicate or transfer data
to another person. Through becoming effective within communication skill, an
individual or the student can easily present himself or herself in much more presentable
way. If it is talked about present time, communication main break or make an individual
where solutions can be brought up or confusion can be made. In the near future, I can say
that it will be required for students to become much more academic through considering
this skill as one of the most important one in order to improvise their living standards on
the professional life for the growth of their own career.
Research Methodology: Considering this element within the research project, I can
easily say that an individual like me could directly identify what design, approach,
hypothesis are need to be used in order to reach to the favourable outcome of the
research. In present time, it is being analysed by me is that to pull out right outcomes
which helps in understanding the chosen topic in much more detailed manner. (Little-
Wienert and Mazziotti, 2018). On the other hand, if it is talked about future I can say that
research methodology directly helps students in in giving even more different knowledge
then they are already having in present time through offering them a range of
opportunities to investigate on the areas which has not been researched yet.
Student learning & achievement: it has been analysed by me is that it could be
considered as an effective tool which can be used by students in order to understand this
is the portfolio which helps in identifying the different range of competencies, skills and

knowledge which an individual is already having. Majorly, I can say that, it is being used
by teachers in order to analyse the overall performance given by the students regarding
their own skills, knowledge and it also shows what they have learnt in the past from the
classes taken. I realised that the future is filled with competition, it will be required for
students to become much more influential and it is also important for the individual to
enhance their learnings through increase their expectation, share a common goal in their
academics as well as in their professional life.
Types of Graphs: I have chosen this topic because, it could be considered as something
which plays role and aid in demonstrating the statistical data within the project which can
be developed among different range of forms like pie chart, graphical representations and
many more other ways.. In both, I realised that both personal and professional life,
graphical presentations or any other Pie Charts considering the topic has a major
influence because this directly shows quantitative data which can be used among
different range of assignments like research investigation and many more. In present
context, I can say that parallel range of charts like line chart, Pie chart, Bar graph,
Histogram, scatter plot etc., can be utilise by students. If it is talked about future, it is
being concluded by me is that, all these graphs and many other things related to this will
directly become much more useful for an individual and both personal and professional
life.
Literature review: Another element which has been chosen for present report by me is
literature review which helps in understanding of gaining knowledge related to the
questions built by me within investigation. I can say that, it is a discussion done on a
specific topic which is helpful for the readers where they get the detail knowledge of
specific area. In the future also, I examined that, it may become most popular because it
will provide the effective or authentic results of their work.
Plagiarism: Plagiarism means, data which is being included within the the project is
copied from someone else research. In order to find out Plagiarism within a file, I have
realised that teachers majorly uses different softwares like turnitin and necessary actions
regarding plagiarism because they want that student done their work themselves without
copying anyone else (Roberts, 2013). In the near future, I can say that many softwares are

Conclusion: I have realised that, this could be considered as one of a crucial element

based on the topic and many other areas which will directly help or essay where
individual conclude the whole work and give their point of view. It is being examined by

Presentation skills: I have chosen this because, it is used in the academic life where
student get the higher score with effective presentation as well as useful in the
professional life. Where I analysed that it provide the positive impact or build a good
impression on their peers or superior. It is a important skill which required in the future
and make them individual to grab the opportunity. Along with this, I can say that
presentation skill positively impact the academic life of student as well as their career
too.
Team work: I realised that, it is where each colleague complete their obligation and
satisfy their duty to accomplish their objectives and targets. It measure the individual
execution and conduct in regards to any undertaking. Why I chosen this topic is because,
even in the scholarly existence of understudy, where they need to finish their group
venture with the assistance of every individual from group (Scott, 2012). Then again, in
the expert life likewise collaboration influence the individual execution just as conduct. I
realised that individuals has this expertise since it will give the future open door in regard
of their vocation. It is valuable for the scholastic just as expert life which upgrade
singular aptitude and ability to being beneficial.
Percentage: In general terms, I can say that percentage could be considered as a kind of
number or ration which is expressed as the fraction of 100. Eventually, percentage is
indicated with the symbol of %. I have examined that, the percentage word is derived

academic skills, it is analysed that there are some skills which is very important for me as these
have enhanced my working abilities to generate outcomes and opportunities to grow in my
academic life. Among all of them some important skills are academic writings, presentation
skills, team and group work and communication skills. As per my personal experience, I became
aware that my communication skills have enhanced by the pattern of interaction because it
assisted me in expressing my views and ideas by interacting with other individuals. With the help
of effective and good communication skills now I am capable to talk about my problems with my
teacher and this has helped me to come up with attainable solutions of the problems. On the other
side, Presentation skills are very important as from this I have learnt to present my views and
ideas in front of others in a professional manner. As per the analysis, it is identified that there is a
relationship among presentation and communication skills as effective communication skills
makes it easier to enhance presentation skills. Good communication skills improves the way of
individual present their views with others.
In addition to this, I have analysed that presentation skills includes some other factors apart from
communication skills which helps in making a presentation more successful and productive.

These are body language, proper gesture, dressing manner, pitch volume etc. Throughout my
learning period of these skills, I personally experience that it takes some time to gain or acquire
all the skills. But, with passage of time I have recognized that my all skills are sufficient enough
as per the necessity and demand of academic career. Along with all this, for me it is also
necessary and important to upgrade all my skills as per the need of time. As it will help me in
surviving in the competitive environment.
On the other hand, it could be said that betterment or growth in writing skills assists me
in achieving good numbers in all subjective papers because all these skills makes it easy for me
to represent all my ideas and information in written form and it also make easier for the tutor to
know that I have learned and understood all the things taught by him in classroom. Enhancement
in team working efforts has assisted me in healthy competition among group members.
Development in these skills helps me to collaborate with other members of the group and taking
all the decisions collectively. Discussion on daily basis with all the team members helps in
completion of project and it also enhance personal relationship among all the members of team.
At the end it can be said that development and learning of all the mentioned skills will help me in
attaining high academic marks and also increase my success opportunity in career.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it has been concluded that portfolio of academic work help
the students in their collage life as well as in their professional life. Because above mention skills
essentially required by the individual to perform their duty weather in their collage or in their
workplace. It helps in identifying individual behaviour, performance, experience and learnings
which develop opportunity in their life. So basically academic portfolio help in academic as well
as in professional life of an individual.
