INTRODUCTION
The concept of Professional Practice can be basically described as the commitment to
caring relationships with the customers and the clients with the support of powerful ethical
values. It generally comprises of continuous growth, critical inquiry, development of others and
self, evidence informed decision making and much more. The Present report basically focuses on
the two key areas of development for professional development, academic development and
personal development with the help of using a reflective model in order to structure the
evaluation and understanding the skills developed and how these are so important for learning in
the professional career.
MAIN BODY
Professional Development
In context to Professional Development, coaching skills and negotiation skills are two of the
major key areas for the development of this section.
Description: At the professional development level, it is very important for me to have coaching
and negotiation skills where I realised that in order to develop my career and improve my overall
learning, it is very important for me to have these two skills as it will contribute a lot in my
professional career (Hopkins and Meyer, 2019).
Feelings: When I was learning regarding my professional development, I felt really excited and
nervous at the same time I was very keen to develop these skills.
Evaluation: During my learning in relation to the professional development, I had really good
experience regarding enhancement of my negotiation skills and coaching skills but when it

comes to coaching I had face issues as I was not able to do proper research and was lacking in
support.
Analysis: In case of professional development, my overall experience regarding the coaching
and negotiation skills was highly positive as I got to learn so much about these skills and their
importance. During my entire experience and research, it really made me a better person and also
contributed towards success of my career. Sometimes, I realise that my plan did not went well as
per the things decided due to my lack of preparation and few of the factors which were out of my
control.
Conclusion: Due to my learning about the negotiation and coaching skills, it really helped me a
lot in developing my overall experience as I was able to effectively apply the situations and
future experiences. Also I realised that it is important for me to develop my negotiation skills in a
more effective and efficient manner.
Action Plan: I will attending online sessions and will take help of various resources in order to
enhance my skills (Smit and Bam, 2021).
Personal Development
For the development at Personal level, it is very important for me to have Leadership skills and
Problem solving skills.
Description: At personal level, I realised that it is very important for me to have problem solving
skills and leadership skills in order to improve my overall learning.
Feelings: During my learning, I was feeling overwhelmed and at the same time nervous as I was
learning new skills (Carl, Jones-Layman and Quinn, 2022).

Evaluation: From my experience, I realised that it in order to develop at personal level, it is very
important for me to have effective and efficient leadership skills.
Analysis: During my learning, my peers and friends supported me a lot which is considered to be
a positive attribute whereas the negative outcome was that I was not able to perform well when it
comes to problem solving skills.
Conclusion: I realised that it is important for me to have the required level of patience during my
learning.
Action Plan: In order to develop leadership skills and problem solving skills, I will be taking
help and support from my friends and teachers(Briggs, Briggs and Briggs, 2019).
Academic development
For the development at academic level, it is very important that to have communication and
research skills as well.
Description: At the academic level, I have experienced that it is important to have certain kind
of skills such as communication and research skill where I have experienced that without
communication I can't exist in such a big crowd at the university level. Without research skill I
have experienced that I can't learn the concepts into deeper terms.
Feelings: At the time of learning, I was feeling nervous but excited as well to explore new things
into positive terms. I think the other people also felt into the similar terms which I have felt
because experienced people never felt nervous at the time of learning.
Evaluation: From the experience, I have experienced that remaining active at the university
level act as important parameter for me. The bad thing which I have experienced that for the

broader topics and complicated skills I have to refer various kinds of people, teachers and books,
sites due to which its not easier for me grasp the concept within shorter period of time. I have
evaluated that people can show their positive approach and more contribution towards the
situation into positive terms (Aronson, 2020).
Analysis: According to my experience, the reason behind going things well is that cooperation
level of teachers and friends as well. The reason behind the things did not go well because I was
not able to handle many aspects of university into simultaneous form. I have analysed from the
situation it is very important to be ready for both the kind of situations so that i can handle it into
result oriented form.
Conclusions: I have learnt from the situation that it is important to have the patience level at the
time of learning so that the things can fall down into appropriate place. For making the situation
more positive, I have tried to make myself more aware and to the point as well.
Action plan: If I got the opportunity to learn skills and grasp knowledge at the academic level
then I will be more prepared for the things and be ready with the tricky questions regarding
practical implementation. The required skills I can develop with support system from my
teachers and friends as well. I can make sure act differently through maintaining the confidence
level on a higher pace with the right kind of approach (Peters and Romero, 2019).

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that in order to develop career and enhancing
my learning in the professional career, it is very important to develop key areas and desired skills
in three particular areas such as Professional Development, Academic Development and Personal
Development.
