Introduction
Learning styles are the different ways of learning that are utilized for perfect and
proper knowledge of any domain through a unique style. There are various styles of learning
like verbal linguistic, musical, interpersonal, spatial visual, logical mathematical and many
more. These learning styles help the learner to learn as well as explore new things in his
personal as well as professional life. I have selected a learning theory of my choice and have
provided various details about them.
The following report outlines a brief discussion on the particular learning theory, I
have selected and how it is beneficial for any learner. Moreover, I have provided three
academic resources that discusses about my chosen learning theory. The various categories of
learning are also provided in this particular report. The part 2 of this report is about a skills
audit that I have done regarding my skills identification and development plan. The part 3 of
this report discusses about the potential employers and the legal responsibilities and
obligations of an employer within a work place under Australian law. I have also provided
the government and industry groups that are available for supporting the unethical acts.
Discussion
Part 1: Learning Theory
There are various types of learning theories. I have selected the Transformative
learning theory amongst them. According to Taylor, 2017, it is the procedure of transforming
the perspective in three important dimensions, namely, psychological, convictional and
behavioural. The psychological dimension mainly deals with the alterations in understanding
self. The convictional dimension deals with revising the belief systems and the behavioural
dimension deals with the alterations in lifestyle. As per Christie et al., 2015, transformative

learning can be defined as the extension of consciousness via the worldview transformation.
Kucukaydin & Cranton, 2013 state that, the perspective transformation occurs extremely less
and is always triggered by any particular life crisis. The most important part of this
transformative learning is that it completely changes the reference frame by reflecting on the
assumptions as well as beliefs.
The various categories of learning styles are as follows:
i) Visual: This type of category provides visual learning style (Howie & Bagnall,
2013).
ii) Aural: This type of learning style provides music and sound.
iii) Verbal: This type of learning style provides writing and speech lesson
iv) Physical: This type of learning provides physical appearance (Illeris, 2014).
v) Logical: This provides logical reasoning and systems.
vi) Social: This provides interpersonal learning style
vii) Solitary: This provides intrapersonal learning style.
Transformative learning theory involves verbal, physical and social learning styles.
The learning category of social style completes defines me as I prefer to learn new things in
groups and with other people (Sammut, 2014). The main benefit of this category is that new
things could be easily explored and thus the domain knowledge could be increased. For
example, I was never a technology savvy. However, with the help of my peers and friends, I
have learnt all the features of the electronic goods and have increased my knowledge.

development plan (Bowen, 2013). This development plan is extremely important for my

Under Australian law, my legal responsibilities and obligations as an employer in a
work place mainly include:

i) Not making false promises to me (Park, Lee & Kim, 2014).
ii) Paying correct wages to me.
iii) Ensuring a secured environment for working for me.
iv) Not giving a misleading reference to me (Mollica & Danehower, 2014).
v) Not acting in such a way that would damage employment relationship towards me.
The moral responsibilities of an employer in a workplace towards me are as follows:
i) Not creating tough situations for me.
ii) Not pressurizing me for work.
iii) Not torturing either mentally or physically.
There are few government groups or industry groups, which are solely available for
giving support whenever any type of problem is detected (Berry, 2013). They are as follows:
i) Fair Work Ombudsman: they provide information regarding workplace obligations
and rights.
ii) Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity: This commission is
responsible for any type of systematic issues of corruption in Australian Government
agencies.
Conclusion
Therefore, from the above discussion it can be concluded that styles of learning are
the various methods of learning, which are used for proper and perfect knowledge of any
particular domain in an exclusive manner. There are several learning styles such as spatial

visual, interpersonal, logical mathematical, verbal linguistic, musical and many others. These
above mentioned learning styles solely help any learner in learning as well as exploring new
thing in his professional as well as personal life. I have chosen a particular learning theory of
my selection and have given significant details regarding them. The above report has outlined
a small description on a specific theory of learning, I have chosen and the benefits or
advantages it provides to any particular learner. Furthermore, I have also given three
resources, which had discussed regarding my selected theory of learning. The several
learning categories are also given in the above report. The second part of the report has
discussed regarding the skills audit, which I have completed about the identification of skills
and the plan for development. The third part of this particular report has solely discussed
regarding the prospective employers as well as their legal obligations and responsibilities of
any employer in the work place under Australian law. I have even given the groups of
government as well as industry, which are significantly available to support various unethical
acts.
