the chosen team members. It also deals with identifying the learning style, the possible

international company we are working. The report emphasizes on finding out the techniques
of identifying the learning style and opting for different development planning to improve the
learning capabilities. The paper thoroughly discusses the needs of individual assessing their
potentials and suggests the conceivable approaches in order to acquire and master the
learning competences.
The paper concentrates on picking up two distinct learning styles and the limitations
of them. To get rid of the problems, the paper vividly deliberates how the styles can be
difficult in coping up with the process of learning and how the hurdles can be dealt with. The
report aims at locating the loopholes of the mentioned styles and provides development plan

Identification of the Learning Style
As an Operational Supervisor, I have to talk to people more than other employees do
but I am prone to highlight and remember things looking at them. My job is to look after the
administrative aspect of the company and take some measure to motivate the employees. I
certainly have to develop my connecting skills but my learning style tends to absorb things
what I see and abiding by the natural tendency of remembering things in pictorial form rather

to comprehend the detail of the discussed topic. The practice of memorizing things by using
colors, highlighters, posters makes me a visual learner inevitably (Schmeck 2014).
The teammate as a logistics coordinator has to handle all the personnel, shape the
budget, certify whether the quality check has been assured and completed or not, efficient in
dealing with problems related to pay scale and finance. He is more into works associated to
computer and has not much scope of interacting with people. Now the way he is habituated to
remember things are participating into conversations, talking aloud either alone or in-group,
brainstorming shows the trace of him being an auditory learner (Yang, Hwang and Yang
2013. He can learn things by listening to the sound, the intonation and the voice modulation
of a speaker. Although the common visible traits of an auditory learner help him in his job yet
as a logistics coordinator, he must develop some other learning devices to get over his
problems.
Technique to identify Development Needs
The techniques that must be applied to find out the development needs are to set an
expected goal and set a method to achieve the required skills. Since I am a visual learner, my
strength is to observe more than one thing at a time and I fail to communicate more so the
people good in this skill can be my threat and I have to develop a good communication
efficiency to strengthen my position.
My teammate, being an auditory learner must be good at observation at the same time
with his efficient communication skill to learn the quality and progress of the trainees. He has
to be multitasking, which he lacks because of his focus on a sole task at a time. The same
threat is hinted at him because there are possibilities of people with good multitasking skill.
He needs to address his problem looking at his own strength and weaknesses.

Identification of Potential Barrier
The external factors that are barriers to my learning is the problem of time
management, handling work pressure and a problematic work schedule which do not allow
me to learn new things. Besides, I am a slow learner and need visual representation of
everything to remember things easily and for a longer time. However, I am not very agile to
accept new things quickly so I become anxious if I fail to remember things within a certain
time leading me to delaying and hampering my learning process (Urval et al. 2014). I even
tend to depend on things that I have already learnt hence no new things can be incorporated
in my memory easily.
Although the teammate is comfortable in conversation, yet he has less opportunity to
talk to people and learn from them. He has the tendency of listening to a particular thing at a
specific time devoting his full concentration in it. He therefore, has this nature of focusing on
one aspect particularly. It is evident that he has less possibility of exploring more and delving
deep into anything. These problems hinder his learning process and affect his work.
Overcoming Potential Barrier
If I get an appropriate encouraging environment, it would be very convenient for me
to get better with my communication skill. Since I am a visual learner, participating into
conversation does not really help me in solving my problems. It is certain that with a bulk
amount of practice the problems can be amended. A strategic course is appreciated because it
is going to restrict my life in a disciplined way to have an understanding of the situation
better and act accordingly(Newton 2015). I should delve more into multilingual culture to
fathom the inner side of others.

The teammate already at the advantage of having great communication skill is lagging
behind in some aspects. He needs to decentralize his focus and starts exploring new things
more by delving into a routine life with regular occurrence of feedbacks and amend his
mistakes accordingly. A positive classroom atmosphere would improve his learning skill.
Development Options
From the post of an Operational Supervisor, there is an anticipation of getting
promoted to the rank of Operational Manager. Being a visual learner, I have to indulge
myself more into self-study to overcome the barriers that I am coming across in acquiring
new things. 70% of the learning should come directly from the On-Job-Training. An ongoing
process is helping me every day to be done away with my barriers in the course of my work
only. The option of Learning from Peers can also be cultivated because that adds 20% of
learning style to understand the concepts even better.
Since the teammate is already a Logistics Coordinator, he is looking forward to be
promoted to the designation of Senior Logistics Head. He must go through the self-learning
and perhaps hear himself more than before in order to be accustomed to new problems and
gain the ability to solve them. For him the better atmosphere of classroom is important and
constant motivation to work in the field other than the domain of his own choice is really
appreciated. Again training from the job itself and learning from the peers have greater
contribution in determining his development options.

As an independent adult, I have to ensure a Personal Development Plan to cope up
with the objective of the organization and maintain a balance between my own choice and the
motive of the company. The kind of mechanism I really need to follow is to contemplate

I have certain Development Plans that needs to be addressed according to the specific
goal that I have set to achieve. In order to fulfill my aspiration to become the Operational
Manager I need to invest into some skills to bring perfection to my job. I must acquire a
superior sense of management skills, skills in networking, strategic pondering efficiency that
would sum up to make me a better decision-maker. I should give myself a period of 24
months to get rid of the already existing difficulties and to procure the skills that are needed
to uplift my position. Most importantly, I should get myself into the course of Online training
of CPD Strategic thinking and must be willing to participate in the networking sessions with
the line manager.
To achieve the goal of becoming a Senior Logistics Head the teammate must set a
goal of six months to develop his skills. In this period, he needs to concentrate on his
Development Plan and the resources he needs to address to meet his requirement. He ought to
ripen a great communication skill and an enhancing leadership skill. To achieve the

perfection in these skills he is likely to invest himself into Online CPD leadership course and
company leadership course too.
Method of Evaluation
In order to achieve the determined goal I need to maintain a log where I must focus on
what I have learnt from the previous experiences. I have to update my track of log to record
the progress in my work that shows whether I have gained any knowledge from the situation
or not and I have to check that I have a proper action plan and the opportunity to execute the
plan. I need to measure that the goal that I have set is met by me within the limited time or
not and the skills I needed to acquire are already achieved or not.
The teammate has to check whether his target of being promoted to a Senior Logistics
Head can be fulfilled in six months or not. For that purpose, he also has to maintain his log to
examine his progress. He has to participate in more On-Job-Training to be aware of 360˚
feedback through which he can sharpen his skills and fill up the vacancies. He must show
some progressive action plan that can be helpful in assessing his way to meet his target.
Conclusion
Therefore, from the above discussion it can be concluded that we both have different
kind of learning styles and that has some different problems associated with it. The paper
concludes with specific solutions that can be helpful in order to come out of the difficulties
and achieve the fixed target. The methods are demonstrated and how we can access to the
methods to develop the skills is mentioned in details. The techniques identifying the styles
are vividly found out and to eradicate the problems and to achieve the objective goals some
