INTRODUCTION
Main aim of any firm is to gain maximum profit. This is only possible when the type of
products or services that are delivered by the organization is effective enough to raise the
satisfaction level of customers (Kerzner, 2013). In this context, it requires to have proper
analysis made in which the needs and requirement of customers can be identified and appropriate
steps are taken. Present report is focused on The Ledbury which is a restaurant located at
London, UK. Further, it falls under 50 best restaurants in the world. Cited firm is planning to
establish their business in Wales in UK. This will enable to the restaurant to develop their
business to raise their sales and profitability.
Part (a)
(i) Identification of specific project
The Ledbury was founded in the year 2005 and within this period of time it has aimed at
creating huge revenue when compared with the restaurants that till know have not attained. Main
focus of this firm is to understand the needs and requirement of customers and provide them
services with high quality. With time, there are many changes that has taken place in which with
taste and preferences of customers, cited restaurant has aimed at understanding the requirements
and to make changes in their products and services accordingly.
Expansion of business is only possible when the firm is able to earn enough profit that
they can establish their branch at other location. As per the present project is chosen, the firm has
planned to open up a new branch at Wales (Rieger, Stanley and Traynor, 2014). This will be
highly effective to reach more customers at other location. All the services and the products that
cited restaurant already provides will be same. However, there are changes made in the seating
and the area that available is also large. The designing is made in such a way that it can hold up
to 80 customers. More and more customers will get to know about the type of services and the
products that are delivered by the firm. There are many areas that has to be considered and it
requires to have proper plan so that the project can be carried out in effective manner.
(ii) The different phases of a project life cycle and evaluating the importance of each phase
In order to conduct the project in effective manner, it required to make use of mapping
plan that will enable to conduct all the activities in efficiently. There are four different type of

phases that are involved in project life cycle (Burke, 2013). Blow given are the explanation of
each of the phrases and making use of each phrase as per the project that is to be identified:
Project initiation phrase: This is determined to be the first phase in the project life cycle.
It focus on the scope, objectives, deliverables and purpose for the new product that is to be
developed. The Ledbury is planning to establish their business at new location and that is at
Wales. There are many areas that has to be considered by so as to attain this project. The plan is
feasible as there are many areas in Wales in which the branch can be established. This will be
effective enough for the firm to attract customers.
Project planning: In this phrase, it requires to have set plan that enables to guide the

of project life cycle. In other words, it outlines the main purpose of the project and defines the
way through which the project is structured (Schwalbe, 2015). It consist of objectives, scope,
roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders.

customer base can be developed. This way, the sales and profitability can be raised. There are
plan developed in which steps by steps the project can be attained. From this findings, it is
identified that within 414 days the project can be completed.

(vii) Project closure report based on evaluation of phase
In accordance with phase, management is able to make proper analysis of the project in
which they are able to analyse the performance of the project. There are conditions in which
even after the proper development of the plan, there are many barriers that can be raised. It is
important for the business to understand them and take appropriate steps so that they are able to
overcome the issues effective manner. Further, it consist of proper evaluation and monitoring of
all the aspects like employees performance, issues faced by workers, etc. (Solomon, 2014).
When any of these are not being properly analysed, then it has negative impact over the firm. It
is identified that at the initial stage, there are cases in which many type of mismatch can be
