Sub: Concerns related to the order of “Okanagan Carpentry Tools”
Respected Sir,
On behalf of “Lee Valley” I would like to felicitate your proposals regarding the sales of
your carpentry tools under our flagship stores and endeavors. Indeed, we appreciate these noble
concerns, where you came up with an opportunity for us to expand our portfolio in terms of the
offering. Most of the members of our planning and purchase committee approved this idea of
selling your goods which are under the budget of $160 to $170. Most of us are of this idea that a
product under this price range can allow us to cater to the amateur buyers that are pursuing
carpentry as a hobby.

This is a fruitful venture for us because present culture promotes the use of DIY manuals and
many customers are keenly working in this direction. Our marketing team also examined your
products on the merits of the pricing and judged them as an attractive option for this new and
emerging segment of the market. The product offered by your company certainly enjoys a place
in our portfolio because they fill a pricing gap which is prevailing. Most
Over the years “Lee Valley” has become a trusted name in the market because of its virtues like
sturdy nature and durability. Another important virtue of our products is related to the quality of
the raw material that we use. In the present case, this material is a metal blade with sharp edges.
The quality control team of the “Lee Valley” is very particular about the performance of the
blade because it is an important part of the value proposition offered by us.
In the past, we justified the high pricing of our products, solely on the merits of the ergonomics.
The star product offered by us holds a price tag of $ 400 and still, it is a best seller. The sales
pitch of this product establishes the fact that the high quality of the blade cuts down the repairing
(sharpening of the blade after some uses) expanses. The durability of the blade and its hard
nature also ensure that a carpenter is spending less time in finishing the job. This hard nature also
adds to the ergonomics by cutting down the physical effort of the carpenter.
The feedback is given by previous customers always gave us a clear indication that customers
are ready to purchase our products because of this virtue. It has become a unique sales point for
our operation. Despite a promising value for money offering, the products given by Okanagan
Carpentry Tools fails in fulfilling this very important criterion set by the quality control team of
the “Lee Valley.” An association of this product with our offerings can also mislead the

customers because they expect high durability and best ergonomics while purchasing a “Lee
Valley” product.
Under the light of the above-mentioned facts, I am duty-bound to refuse this request promoted by
your company. We are longing to strike a fruitful union with your company in the future for
some more products that suit better to our product portfolio where the quality of the goods is the
primary concern.
Thanks for sharing this offer with us, we are keen to receive more such offers where both the
companies can work on a mutually beneficiary platform and enhance each other’s prospects in
this competitive market place.
Regards
