Introduction:
The academic skills is considered as the skills that assists the students to do optimal
performance in their suitable academic career. The academic skills covers communication
skills, social skills as well as presentation skills. In relation to this, the academic skills are
crucial for student in terms of increasing their academic scores in the class. The report will
highlight the studenst support services provided by Leeds Trinity University as well as this
report will also include my reflection on the how these services will be beneficial for me in
enhancing my future professional career.
MAIN BODY
Discussing the support services provided by university to students:
The Leeds Trinity University allows support its national as well as international students
to take advantage of their student support service programs. The university have the skilful as
well as experienced professionals that provide to its students an array of facilities. This facility
by university assist students to gain an effective solution of their an life related or career related
problems (Ellis and et.al., 2018).
. In relation to this, by adopting this service the students can effectively improve their
academic and life skills which can benefit them in holding future professional job positions
in appropriate manner. Moreover, The university enable its students to select from different
channels in order to engage with student support department in flexible manner. for
example, the student can connect with student support department via Email, text message
or through using mobile phones or the students can directly meet with services providers by
visiting their office in university campus. The University’s student support service
department support its students in many ways which is discussed below:
The student support service department assist students in developing their academic
skills by providing interactive classes on improving this skills.
The university also support students to deal with their personal problems in proper
manner (Barker and et.al., 2018).
The student support services of university also aid students in improving their mental
well-being by providing different wellness programs.

challenges.
The student service department also help their students in finding affordable house
with good amenities.
The student support department also provides support to physically disabled students
in terms of rendering proper facilities.
The University’s student support department also takes care of its student’s
protection by making stricter rules regarding ragging free environment of university.
The other critical services provided by this university department are online as well
as offline library facility. By using this flexible mode the students can improve their
skills and knowledge regarding their academic subjects (Lovell, 2018).
Giving my reflection on the usage of student support services of the university:
The student support service department of the university can support in my
academic as well as professional endeavours. The first effective service of department
that can improve my performance in class is Academic skills development classes. This
facility by university can support me in improving my academic knowledge regarding
effective reading as well as writing skills. The participation in this classes can assist me
in learning different skills or books in most effective and efficient manner. in relation to
this, the program can also support me in developing proper assignments and projects
with a much very less chances of plagiarism (Fletcher and et.al., 2018).Moreover, the
academic skill development programs can also induce me in improving my presentation
skills which can gather positive attention of other students as well as my professor. The
other valuable service provided by Leeds Trinity University’s student service department
is Online and offline library services. The other major service that can help me in
improving my academic knowledge is by studying in the library of university. This
facility can support me in developing my subject knowledge even better by reading
books of different authors. In addition to this, it also provides me flexibility to read
library books online just by sitting at home with laptop. Moreover, the library facility
can assist me in improving my knowledge about academic subject as well as other
important subjects. Thus, the library services can support me in holding future

very supportive service to me as well as other students in terms of gaining mental piece.
The university organises wellbeing activities on the campus in regular basis. This facility
can support me and my colleagues in improving mental health and focus. In addition to
this, the wellbeing service can help in improving concentration power, memory power as
well as learning power that can support me to give best performance in academic exams
as well as extra- curricular activities. Furthermore, this facility can also allow me to
enhance my behaviour towards positive side even better which support me to see
positive side of things not negative side. Hence, the wellbeing service can be very
beneficial form in terms of improving academic life as well as also in my future
professional career (Heo and Han,2018).
Conclusion
It has been concluded that academic skills are important parameters for every
students in order to improve academic as well as professional career life. It was also
evaluated that academic skills can support students in building better writing and reading
skills. This report has provided the description about services rendered by the student
support department of university. In addition to this, it has been concluded that the
student support services can support me as well as my peers in developing academic
skills, gaining mental piece and also assist me in gaining extra knowledge by taking use
of online or offline library services of university.
