2IDEOLOGY
Introduction
The governments of the world and the kind of work they embark upon to fulfill their duty
of ensuring the proper governance of the nation, upholding the principle of justice and the
maintenance of law and order is representative of the fact whether they follow a left leaning
ideology or a right wing ideology.
In this particular piece of writing the arguments shall be provided in favour of
championing the left ideology as the ideal one to uphold public good by examining power and
maintaining order, and justice which shall be beneficial to the people.
Discussion
The left leaning ideologies are quite misunderstood as being authoritarian and extremely
antithetical to the idea of promoting growth and development in economic and in infrastructural
terms. That is a misconception which needs to be deconstructed. The governments which are
characterized as following left wing ideology is on the contrary tends to believe that
development be it monetary or infrastructural should be enjoyed by all sections of the society
without depriving any section from the prerogative. This hint at the basic premise of the
governments which are characterized as following left wing ideology being that of upholding the
principle of equality. To the governments which are characterized as following left wing
ideology equality of human beings the basis of development is equality and they consider that
equality of human beings is the key to justice and stability in the society (Adler, 2017).
Law and order situation in a society is highly disrupted by the inequality of status and the
inequality with regard to the distribution of resources among people. In a society where there is

concentration of wealth in the hands of a chosen few, while the rest suffer from deprivation are
quite volatile and can erupt into conflict waged by the ones who lack the means to lead a decent
life. The governments which are characterized as following left wing ideology seek to avoid such
situations which shall be highly disruptive and thus focuses on the equality of status of human
beings. When all persons in a society shall be equal and shall have equal access to the resources
to build a good life for themselves, the society shall be having law and order as social justice
shall be the prerogative of all in such a society. For the governments which are characterized as
following left wing ideology growth and development are understood separately but they are
understood to be having a symbiotic relationship with each other. Growth is quantitative and
development is qualitative both of which must be secured and left leaning regimes seek to secure
them to the best way possible for the masses or the citizens (Adler, 2017).
Conclusion
Thus on the basis of the discussion above it can be said that the potency of governments
which are characterized as following left wing ideology to promote the public good lies in its
capacity to uphold equality, and both the quantitative and qualitative aspect of human life. This
is why left leaning governments are the ideal systems of governance.
