Legal and regulatory frameworks of tourism and travel are decided by
the governments of different countries. These legal frameworks are
needed to be followed by the all tour and travel agencies. Herein, Club
Caribbee travel agency is selected, which provide various kind of travel
services to the customers like arrangement of cheap costly flight and
hotel booking etc. It is a UK based travel agency. The travel law
consultant of this agency has been asked to organize a training event
for retail travel consultant on legal and regulatory framework. The
legal frameworks of this agency are mentioned below:
Sources of law: In terms of contracts and agreements law can
be a confusing aspect. Contracts and agreements are made by each and
every individual on a daily basis.
Civil law: This law is quite different as compare to the
criminal law and it is associated with rights & property of the persons
or corporations, that can not be protected by criminal law. It generally
involves compensation or judgement associated to finances.
Private law: Private law is a part of civil law that defines the
relationships between individuals as law of contracts torts. It is also
considered as common law in English legal system.
Criminal law: This law has emphasis towards offences &
breaches which negatively influence society rather than an individual.

Aspects of law of contract: Contracts and agreements are not
only formal written documents signed by parties and witnesses.
Contracts and agreements are made every day from the moment we

English Tort Law: This act mainly concerned with the
compensation subject to harm and losses against visitor’s rights to
health and safety, property, economic interest and the clean
environment.
Air Travel Operator Licensing (ATOL)- ATOL is a kind of
framework that provide financial protection to the customers who have
bought package for holidays or flight tickets from any operator. It
enables in the situation where some conflict arises between client and
