Short reflection on the topics
Reflection is regarded as the reality check of an individual that depict its skills and the
capabilities in order to move ahead in its future. Lessons learned by me during these two weeks
will be helpful for me in order to understand its importance in my personal life as using all these
principles in my life will enhance my overall professional life (Baldwin, 2016). I need to identify
all my weaknesses in order to challenge my capabilities in grabbing higher share in the external
business environment. The understanding of all the topics I have learned in the class includes
homicide and Non-fatal offenses against a person at any place including workplace re required to
be ascertained in advance.
One of the topic I have read was Homicide as Manslaughter which states that killing of
one person illegally without any prior intention of killing are punished by law more than the
culprits who have committed intentional murder of an individual (Demetriou, 2016). It can be of
two types such as voluntary or non-voluntary kinds of manslaughter. On the other hand, I have
learned another topic that is related to the non-fatal offenses. These offenses can be of both
mental or physical type that affect an individual which will be observed properly at every place.
I need to give emphasize on all the above mention laws while I join any organization as
these laws will safeguard my interest in an entity. Having knowledge all the crimes committed
by an individual at workplace alerts me to fulfill by social duties by raising voice against all the
crimes incurred in an entity (Fitz-Gibbon and Walklate eds., 2016). Awaring people of the firm
about the crimes in accordance with the anti laws related to all these crimes will warn a culprit to
commit the same with an individual. Knowledge about all the laws is essential to file a suit
against the culprit in order to protect the life of one individual who are not capable in order to
defend their suit. The intention of a person differentiates the two terminology used as crime such
as homicide events in form of manslaughter or non-fatal offenses committed by an individual
needs to be regulate.
Understanding all these legal laws will be helpful for me in increasing by existing
knowledge about the laws and this also enhances the professional skills and duties of a particular
person. Behavior of criminals will be easily identified by analyzing their reactions on specific
matters as legal laws will act like a shield that safeguards my interest while working in the
business.

Examples
Study has revealed that various cases of Homicides is related to the age group of an
individual as most of the percentage of homicides crime has found in the early age of a person
that keeps on decreases with the increasing age of an individual (Homicide in San Diego, 2004).
Study reveals that there are 13% in the age group of 14-17 years and 7% in the age group of 25
years or more.
In the case law of R v Robert (1971) is all about a defendant to give lift to a girl and
exploited her forcefully and intend to rape her but a girl jumped out of the running car and
suffered from both mental or physical pain (Cases on non-fatal offences, 2017). The defendant
convicted as per the section 47 as punished with imprisonment.
