The assignment is reflected on discussing framework related to the lessons learnt
applied into the project management. Those lessons learnt are documented to
gather lessons learnt from this course work. In this report, two lessons learned are
mentioned with their strategies to improve skills, conflicts and deal with project
work efficiently.
2 LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK (6 MARKS)
2.1 Lessons learnt framework explained (1 mark)
The lessons learnt framework applied in the project management is documentation
and gathering of project management template. It would help to gather and collect
information and record it in the project documents. It will help to maintain
communication among the project work groups.
The project documentation will help individuals to create detailed breakdown down of
project tasks result in achievable project schedule and planned deadline. It will help to
reduce risks and predict progress of the development at the execution stage (Kerzner,
2017). Finally, the development documents would help the project group to create a
brief of viewpoints of various individuals.

3. LESSONS (16 MARKS)
3.1 Defining lessons learnt (or learned) (2 marks)
The lessons learnt is well-defined as experiences expanded from the project plan that
are used in the upcoming projects. The lessons learnt sessions should be conducted
anytime throughout the project. The key purpose of lessons learnt is providing the
project team with information help them to build experiences and rise in efficiency in the
future projects (Pollard, 2019). The experiences whether positive and negative are
earned by completion of project work.
3.2 Lesson 1: Time management
3.2.1 What I learnt from reflecting on the situation (3.5 marks)
1. Situation 2. The situation made me
feel…
3. What I learnt from
reflecting on the situation
While completing
assignment in the class,
each of the project
member is provided with
task to be completed on
scheduled time. The
assignment part which was
assigned to me was
difficult and I was not able
to understand due to
missing of lectures. Due to
lack of time management
skills, I was not able to
complete work on time.
At the time of submission
of my assignment, the
condition made me feel so
much uncomfortable in
front of my team.
Based on this situation, I
learned that time
management is required to
get project success. I learned
that it is required to schedule
project effort and submit
assigned work on time
(Martens & Carvalho, 2017).

implement to
address the lesson
identified above
As
improvement
strategy of time
management, I
should make
the project
schedule of my
works and
conduct an in-
depth research
(Heldman,
2018). At first, I
considered
what activities
are required
and make a
project
schedule based
on its priority. I
will try to pay
less focus on
work which
distract me to
complete my
work.
I will measure
the
improvement
strategy by
viewing
development of
time
management
skills required to
complete work.
I consider key
points required
to manage time
like problem
solving skills,
prioritization as
well as strategic
planning.
The strategy is
achievable by
efficient time
management
skills (Eskerod
& Jepsen,
2016). My main
focus is on my
assigned work
and it is
achievable by
working as per
the scheduled
timeline.
I have ability to
develop my
skills and
awareness on
time
management. It
has
significance
into process of
project
management.
This strategy
will help me to
prioritize my
project tasks
and finish on
time.
In the future,
when I will
allocate with
project work, I
will use this
strategy to
manage my
time.
3.3 Lesson 2: Communicating with stakeholders
3.3.1 What I learnt from reflecting on the situation (3.5 marks)
1. Situation (involving
conflict)
2. The situation made me
feel…
3. What I learnt from
reflecting on the situation
The situation here was
faced by me when initiating
of the project work and
acquiring knowledge on
project work. I was not able
to understand the purpose
of communication
management, therefore I
tried to discuss my
problem with members, but
due to their busy schedule
they are not available at
Due to this situation I felt
less confidence in the
class as I want not able to
present my viewpoints with
the project stakeholders.
Due to this situation, I learnt
that it is required to pay
attention to the class and
questions asked by the
teacher. Communicating with
the stakeholders is also
helpful to understand the
project work (Radujković &
Sjekavica, 2017). Team work
would help to get more
knowledge on project topic in

that time. the academic areas.
3.3.2 Improvement Strategy Two: Communicating with stakeholders (3.5 marks)
(a)
Improvement
strategy
Explain what the
specific strategy is
that you will
implement to
address the lesson
involving resolving
conflict)
(b)
Measurement
How to measure if
the strategy works
(c)
Achievable
Why the strategy
is achievable
(d)
Relevant
Explain the
relevance of
strategy to
address the lesson
(e)
Timing
When the strategy
will be
implemented
By gaining
more
knowledge on
my project
topic, I should
require to more
attentive in my
class. I should
discuss the
problems with
my
stakeholders in
team meetings.
I should ask my
classmates
those have
better
understanding
of the topic. It
will help me to
cover my
weaknesses.
In order to
measure if the
strategy is
working or not, I
should prefer to
use notebook to
record the
insights taught
in the lecture
(Demirkesen &
Ozorhon,
2017).
It is achievable
as team
meetings would
help to discuss
the problem
with the project
members.
Therefore,
effective
communication
plan would help
me to achieve
the strategy.
The strategy
stated to
discuss
problem in
team meetings
so that it helps
me to deal with
the issue raised
(Lock, 2017).
Communication
skills is helpful
to explain
relevance of
the project
strategy such
that the lessons
learned are
being
addressed.
The strategy is
to be
implemented in
the future
classes to
arrange a team
meetings
course after this
project
completion.
4.1 CONCLUSION (0.5 MARKS)
It is concluded that reflective practice helps in considering person’s strengths as well as
weaknesses. It will also help to determine learning process. From the project planning, I
identified two lessons learned such as time management and communicating with the
stakeholders. I am able to learn importance of those mentioned lessons required to
apply in the project management practice.
