It is stated that I am a Civil Engineering student in your reputed institution. I have
always been obedient and honest towards my studies. I have consistently performed well in
every semester that was held in our school. Unfortunately, I have failed my previous semester
by a margin of only 0.8% due to which I will not be allowed to sit for my next semester. I
would request you to reinstate me for the same.
I admit that my results were not up to the mark, due to a difficulty that I was facing in
my last semester. I would not make excuses for my poor performance in academics but would
like to state my problem. A few months back, I shifted to a new place which is quite far from
the school. I had to wake up at 3 am to reach school on time. As a result, I was unable to get
sufficient sleep due to which my health suffered a lot and I could not concentrate on my
studies. I should have shared my problem with the management before but I was not aware of
the adverse consequences. I have found a way of coping with the problem. I request you to
allow me to sit for a re-examination so that I can continue with my studies.
I assure you that I will focus on my studies and prove my caliber as I am a good
student. I would be highly obliged if you give me a second chance and allow me to sit for
another examination.
