I will learn about the procedure of project planning as well as implementation. My
objective is to develop the understanding about the way project plan related to the
establishment of holiday park is designed as well as implemented.

As a result of this project I am able:

Section 3: Justification
I want to gain knowledge about the way construction projects are plan ned as well as
implemented as I want to pursue my career in particular field. I also believe that knowledge
about the particular field will assist me in pursuing my career.

Section 4: Methods
I have chosen the project……module…….because I have interest in particular field. In
addition to this, I am planning to establish a construction business. I intend to learn about the
various phases involved in the construction project. I also want to develop the understanding
about the issues which might occur in establishment as well as management of construction
project.

I got feedback from the tutor that I need to develop more detailed knowledge about
construction project. There are few loop holes in the proposal which I presented to my tutor.
My tutor has provided me with feedback that I need to include more detailed information
about location as well as costs. In addition to this, I failed in provided the justification for
the proposal.

What is a Learning Contract/Agreement/Plan?
It is a formal document that defines what is expected from you while working on the work
based project. The learning contract sets out the parameters for the task that you are
expected to undertake so as to meet the assessment criteria (learning outcomes). You would
need to focus on the elements given in the above proforma for learning and delineate the
details in the learning contract/plan and focus on the following key generic components:
 What are you going to learn?
 I will learn about the different phases involves in the construction project. I will learn
about the various issues as well as challenges which might arise in execution of specific
project.
 How are you going to learn it?
 I will learn by participating in such projects. In addition to this, I will attend training
program , seminars , college lectures etc. I will also take support from experts, projects
managers and engineers.
 What objectives are you going to set?
 MY target is to gain knowledge about the different phases involved in the
management of construction project.
 What are the target date(s) for each activity and completion?
 I will achieve my target within six months.

 How are you going to know that you have learned and achieved the set objectives?
 I will perform self assessment in order to judge whether I have gained desire
knowledge or skills.
 What evidence are you going to generate to prove that you have learned it?
Academic report will indicate that I have achieved the desired objectives.
This is your responsibility to tailor the above learning contract to the case study. You are
required to explicityly articulate what objectives you are going to set, what activities would
be undertaken, which sources of information or data need to be collected to ensure that the
learning outcomes are achieved. You would need to discuss and seek guidelines from
Tutors/supervisors. You would need to agree /negotiate the learning contract with your
Tutor/supervisor, include the signed copy of the learning contract in final submission and
submit it along with the portfolio. It is to ensure that transparent, feasible and verifiable set
of activities are established in the learning contract which enables you to meet the learning
outcomes of the Module and achieves the assessment criteria.
