INTRODUCTION
The assignment will provide an understanding of the significant life events that are confronted
by the individual. This happens when the individual loses the beloved one by demise or their
daughter. In the case, Sue and Tom’s daughter have been facing leukemia disease as it is
essential feature to the demise of the people. This will help them in getting back the normal
life. The assignment comprises of the case study in which Jill who is suffering from the
bereavement, leukemia. These consist of the various kind of suffering that leads her to the
cancer that is the firm of the supporters of UK so that determination and self-respect of the
individual can get back with time.

The lives of the individual are affected to the great extent with the illness and diseases. There
are several kinds of changes that are found in life that are suffering from diseases (Wang and
Saudino, 2011). This has led to the various effects on the lives of the individual that are given
below:
DENIAL
Jill has been suffering from leukemia and was diagnosed with such condition priory within the
six month before her death. Due to the situations, she was not involved in the protective care
of her parents and was dwelling on the extreme stress and emotional symptoms for the life
(Burke et al., 2011). Furthermore, Jill’s death has added the Bereavement between both Tom
and Sue regarding the thought that they didn’t provided time to her daughter. Then Tom and
Sue have started to lose her sense and did not even identify what is wrong real and what is
significant to her daughter and found dwelling guilt to both for everyday living.

ANGER
The anger is necessary stage through which they are willing to feel with the endless range of
meeting the time. This can also direct on the truth and anger. This can project on the suffering
and funeral of the little child Jill (Wang and Saudino, 2011). This suddenly has directed a bridge
to the anger and made it open sea with the connection from tom and sue and suppressing the
anger in the form of the guilt.
BARGAINING
Jill was not able to walk and even move in her last stage of her life. The leukemia disease has
becoming problematic for her physical health and fitness (Byers and Yaffe, 2011). She is not
taking food and medicine at the right time which is increasing mental and physical fitness. The
problems of the Jill were not diagnosed earlier (Liu and Alloy, 2010). In case, if she was
diagnosed earlier than this would not have been the case and parenting manner from the Tom
and Sue to her second child.
ACCEPTANCE
Tom and Sue’s social behavior has changed completely which is really shocking for her their son
David and along with the relatives. Sue was not in contact with her friends and colleagues at
the work and even different pay the visit to the office during the treatment face of her daughter
and not making her daughter alone and stressed to face this difficult situation (Liu and Alloy,
2010).

DEPRESSION
There are several reasons that are associated with stress creation in the individuals who has
lost her daughter who was suffering from Leukemia. Tom and Sue are suffering from the
depression in her last stages of their daughter’s life (Liu and Alloy, 2010). The Sue has started
ignoring her job roles and meeting with the conditions that are not going to get her daughter’s
life back. However, after this incident tom and sue both has been following the different
parenting style for their son David.

There are mainly two possible groups which can be helpful in managing the people who are
suffering from any kind of significant life event (Csikszentmihalyi, 2011). The life of Tom and Sue
has been changed after this incident which is really harmful to the future of their son David. The
conditions of the David were reluctant as the Tom and Sue believed in different parenting style.
The Sue feels overprotective and Tom directs on the behavior of not being restrictive on the
action of David which can also be a problematic situation for him.
The Jill was the only concerned factor that the treatment which David is receiving could have
been better condition. The bereavement partner support group has help in directed on the
conditions of the Sue and Tom as they were not in the face of coping up with the everyday
living. The person who is facing the problem and difficulties should enhance the contact with
the peoples and start socializing (D’Zurilla and Nezu, 2010).
This will be helpful in forgetting the bad memories of the past. The social connection will be
helpful in reducing the restrictive nature of the person with the Sue in the lost one child and
does not want to lose another. The social groups are really helpful in improving the current
condition of a person who is facing any kind of health problems. These social groups enhance
and motivate the individual and encourage them to live life happily. The friends and family
members should support the person who is suffering from any health issues but the
interference of anyone was not carried out (D’Zurilla and Nezu, 2010). The children’s needs to
be in a peaceful environment where they can connect with others and feels comfortable. It
would have been helpful in improving the conditions of Jill.

In order to treat an individual, there are different ways which have been adopted by the health
and social care organization. In the case of Jill, she is not getting the support of her family
initially which has impacted her health in a negative way (Dykas and Cassidy, 2011). She is
facing the blood symptoms and other access health loss intervention which has been really
affected the health conditions of the people. It has been analyzed in her behaviour that she is
getting not eating, not able to coordinate with other people and getting stressed out on little
things.
Jill’s family is in support of her along with the medical treatment by which the nurses and
health professionals can take care of her. There are different treatment techniques and
therapies are adopted by health professionals to reduce the impact of Leukemia. But it has
directed on the physical conditions and sigh of pain in entire body (D’Zurilla and Nezu, 2010).
On the other hand, David is facing the different parental styles measure that is affecting his
mental condition.
The David has to face the Bereavement Care from the Partner support groups as the Sue has
dwell the guilt on herself that she was unable to tell her daughter that she loved her before she
died (Dykas and Cassidy, 2011). The mental stress can be reduced by the accurate therapies and
treatment which are given by the health professionals on the accurate time. The accurate
treatments and care can give a positive result for a patient who is suffering from any kind of

direct the health care organization with the voluntary practices with the range of creating the

support can control the number of death that are happening and all across the world due to
cancer. There are many policies that are set by the government which help in dealing with the
leukemia. They are:
Marking to the laws and strict actions to the smoking and alcoholic range of services at
public places and workplaces.
The introduction to the high tax rates on tobacco directs on rate of healthy meal and
nutrition food easily
Encouraging people to get healthy meal and nutrition food easily
This can be framed with the support of the Person centered care theories. This is due to the
distinctive cases and the need of them to be cured with the special treatments and support.
According to the requirements, treatments and care are given to the patients with the support
of the several kinds of the processes and policies (Csikszentmihalyi, 2011).There is some stages
by which the health care professionals can deal with the patients.
