This research proposal aims to evaluate the role of line managers and leaders in employee development and well-being within the UK retail industry, with a specific focus on Nisa. The study will explore talent management strategies employed by Nisa, aiming to understand how these strategies impact employee well-being and development. The objectives include understanding the concept of talent management in the retail sector, evaluating Nisa's leadership strategies, identifying challenges faced by leaders, and recommending effective practices. The research will employ a qualitative approach using an inductive research approach and interpretivism philosophy. Data will be collected through a survey of 20 Nisa employees and secondary sources, analyzed using thematic data analysis. Ethical considerations include informed consent, confidentiality, and data security. The proposal outlines the research activities, timelines, and methodologies, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to investigating the critical aspects of employee development and leadership within the retail sector.
