INTRODUCTION
Management of people in an organizations is one of the most important aspect which
provides assistance in relation over management which leads towards over all development of
organization. The concept is based upon developing understanding about actions of management,
human resource management and labour with business strategy. These perspectives helps in
managing people in more effective manner leading towards goals and objectives accomplished
on time. Scope covered through this management is wider in nature making progressive
perspective covered that helps in making sustainability achieved within market. Also through the
aspect human resources management is improved which makes quality of employee's enshrined.
The report is based upon current issue that is related to reflection on line management and
impacts management of people. Then knowledge, skills and behaviour relation to managing
people has been explained within report. Reflection is provided upon HR process and
performance management with recommendation.
MAIN BODY
Reflection on current issues facing line managers relating to people management
I have made analysis done upon various issue that has been faced by line manager that
impact management of people. In my opinion these issues has hinder the process which exists
within an organization(Hurmelinna-Laukkanen and Olander, 2019). These issues are
Decreased performance levels under this issue productivity of an individual working within an
organization is affected. If productivity is not good, then tasks of an organization is not
completed effectively which directly impacts organizations performance. Such issues occurs due
to lack of motivation which hinders overall growth of an organization. In order to deal with
such issue in my opinion line manager requires to review process and procedure within the
organization which increases efficiency. Another issue that has been analyse by me is current
system reviewed which is done on weekly basis which made me get awareness about factors
causing demotivation. In my aspect this is solved by line manager through asking questions
from employee and made a collective outcome to be marked which helped in making strategies
developed regarding motivational aspect of people working within an organization. In my
understanding improvement over the review system makes productive outcome to be achieved

in terms of improving employees efficiency through out the time (Jing, Han and Ogawa, 2021).
Then comes other issue which is Being understaffed this is another issue which is faced by line
manager as per my analysis in this issue the competency of staff was absent which made
difficulties faced in segregating experienced and non-experienced staff members. In my
understanding line manager should adopt change in hiring process that helps in providing
assistance within issue as it make problems of understaffing solved within more efficiency.
Another issue that has been face by line manager is lack of communication which makes
circulation of information not done in effective manner. This leads upon hindering the process of
information circulation that is related to task through which task accomplishment is not done
with quality work which leads over task to be collapsed. Then in my perspective lack of
communication decreases project completing efficiency which makes organizations goodwill
impacted within market. Also in my understanding line manager should focus over creating
proper mechanism that make problem of lack of communication to be solved. In order to
improve communication and its various element communication theory required to be used
which makes organization generate innovative ideas for improving communication as per
projects demand. The last issue which is faced by line manager as per my observation is Poor
teamwork it is one of the most common problem that is faced by line manager which makes an
individual loss focus upon work while performing team related tasks. In my perseverance poor
communication makes information circulation poor that eventually affects capacity to perform
work. In order to deal over the issue in my observation an organization's line manager is
required to re-establish teamwork. This can be achieved through revisiting the purpose of project
and makes the perspective of project clear to individual's working within team this is achieved
through motivation that increases efficiency within team.
Reflection on the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be an effective people manager
In my opinion knowledge is one of the most effective aspects which is used within
effective people management by a line manager. Under such aspect I have developed knowledge
in relation over various aspects of management process existing within an organization. This
made me realise about importance of planning , organizing, leading and controlling. (Leisink
and et. al., 2021). In planning I have realized that an line manager is required to prepare blue
print about managing of people. Also it helps in preparing rules and guidelines which is
important for managing organizations work. Then comes next aspects of management

knowledge that is organizing which helps in making work organized in more effective manner
through which line manager distributes work as per specialization possessed by an individual.
Then I attained knowledge about leading capacity possessed by an line manager that helps in
creating motivation within an individual to work in more relevant manner. Also leadership
makes employee's develop sense of responsibility within them towards work. Then I gained
knowledge about controlling which makes all kinds of issues related to employee's which results
in conflict solved more effectively, which helps in making operations of business performed
smoothly. The I developed understanding about skills that is used by line manager in making
sustainable development possible which creates job satisfaction created through analysing
employees needs. This is improved through micro management within which minor details of
employees issues covered and improved strategies which makes sustainable development
possible. Another skill that has been marked out is good communication that makes line manager
develop better perspective in relation to circulation of management related information. This is
very effective skill for line manager, as it makes task completed in effective manner.(Meza-
Mejía and et. al., 2020). In my opinion skill which is required to be used by line manager is
presentation which helps in making the project look presentable as per its standards which helps
manager improve profit and revenue generation. I have also observed that promotional skills is
another important skills that makes line manager should use which helps in developing
awareness about new product within market that is launched by an organization. The last skills
that is important in my opinion is inter personal skills that helps line manager get connected to
its customers within the market. In order to improve the skill line manager is required to improve
customer services that helps in making problems related to customers understood in better
manner. Then in my opinion it has been marked out that behaviour has important role to play in
people's management as positive behaviour improves working environment that makes
organizations development done form over all perspective.
Reflection on HR processes which underpin the performance management
In order to improve HR process in relation to management performance line manager
should be focused upon Selection and Recruitment which helps in making identification done
about the needs which is related to requirement of position as well job holders , advertising the
position and selecting most suitable candidate for vacant position. In my opinion it helps line
managers to work mainly upon two important functions of human resource department which

helps in selecting better candidates as employees for an organization. This makes proper
procedure develop for recruitment which includes Sourcing suitable Candidates that includes
selecting of suitable candidate which is in my opinion makes better selection of candidates
possible as per the requirement of job position. Also as per my perspective it helps line manager
in making professionalism developed with strong network within an organization. Another
perspective that has been analysed by me in relation over line manager is Tracking applications
and reviewing resumes this is helpful in tracking applications and reviewing resumes of
employees (Chakraborty and Upadhyay, 2018). In my understanding such techniques aids in
proper management of job vacancies as well as applications for every open position to be filled
with knowledgeable candidate. Then comes Preliminary phone interview that is used by line
manager in taking out information based upon background, work history, experience and many
more related to applicant's phone interview is suitable source. (Danese, Molinaro and Romano,
2018). In my opinion the main aspect is related of such interview is related to those applicants
who don't meet minimum requirement for vacant job position. Another perspective of selection
and requirement process is Face-to-face interview and selection – In recruitment process face-
to-face interview is most important step so, it is important to prepare for interview in advance. It
is important to prepare 2 or 3 questions related to the skills needed for job as well by asking
same questions from every applicant it become easy to compare. In the end my analysis has
show that in order to improve quality of employees and bring diversity in work force which
makes unity developed within working of an organization. I have understood that HR process
helps employee's working capcity increased by creating motivation within them.
Recommendation
From the discussion I an able to develop understanding about various issued that is faced
by line manager within its working and impacts people management drastically. Also I come to
know that these issues are very important to be solved as they make development of
organization possible effectively. Then I come across knowledge perspective which is required
to be gained in relation to concept of management by line manager. Also in this skills has been
explained which is important for development of better management strategies. Further, I have
made my understanding developed about positive behaviour and its importance in business
environment. Then I have explained about selection and requirement process which is important
for improving quality of employee's.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it can be concluded that people management is the process
through which line manager of an organization is able to manage employee's working within an
