Review of two Accounting professionals profile
In many accounting professionals profile available on LinkedIn, I chose the profiles of
Connie Wu (Accounts receivable manager) and Quentin Burget (Senior Account Manager
chez Expedia, Inc.). Both the profiles are from Australia.
The profile of Quentin Burget is highly professional and has all the information that portrays
his professional’s image in a very good manner. Some of the points regarding his profile are:

He has added a very good profile picture that is catchy.
He has also illustrated himself in the headlines that attract others.
He has provided his complete set of experience that he gained in his professional
career.
He also illustrated his educational background in the description section.
His connections, contact info and other details have also been provided so as to
contact him.
He has also illustrated his skills which is highly important in professional world.
It lags the idea regarding his career objective.
On the other hand Connie Wu has relatively poor professional profile. This is because of
several reasons illustrated below:
She has uploaded headshot picture but it does not looks so much professional (Rynne,
2016).
She has not described herself in a better way.
Her profile shows that she has less experience.
Her skill set also seems to be less.
She is having very less person in Contact and she has also given her necessary contact
details.
She has also not added the description regarding his future career objectives.

Description Area: Highly motivated Accounting graduate, still a fresher, strong ethics
which will help in future work, highly fluent communication skills and seeking for
Accounts Assistant Position in any firm.
Skills: Excel, Word, Revenue management, Analytics. I have an on job training
certificate on these skills which I gained through training.
Strengths and weakness in term of entering accounting profession
Strengths
I am graduating in the field of commerce.
The University which i have selected is also good.
I have done various summer internships from different organisations.
Weakness
Lagging connections with various professionals which will be required at the
professional levels.
I do not have a professional experience backup which will reduce my chances to get
the job.
Lesser practical knowledge which is required in the Job.
One thing that I can do
Among the several things that i can do for strengthen my personal brand before i graduate is
that I would have to earn more and more practical skills by joining number of training
programs for example, internships at companies in the vacations, joining practical sessions at
conferences and seminars so that i could add up things in my skill areas (Waldo, 2018). This

will help me gaining skills from other experienced professionals which are a better way to
learn things. I have to do more training on Analytics as data is the future of business so that I
can make my profile more strong (The muse, 2018).
Things that I have learned from career Boot camp
There are various skills that I have learned from career boot camps organised by my
university. These boot camps were beneficial as I learned the things like use of the Excel and
Word Tool in a better manner so as to make my calculation and accounting skills better.
Another essential thing that i learned in this boot camp is develop as a personality which will
be required in future. It also trained me regarding the use of tools of analytics and revenue
management which helps in the making of finance related decisions and managing revenue at
the firm at which i will work respectively.
