INTRODUCTION
Skills and knowledge are important part of human development which are essential for
overall development of a human being (Ahmed, 2021). The skills and knowledge are considered
as important part of human development which are essential for growth of an individual. In
higher studies skills development is considered as major factor which is important for the growth
of an individual. In recent time the importance of skill development is very much in higher
studies. In classroom teaching teachers should focus on developing skills of a candidate in order
to develop talent of an individual. The skill development is helpful in building learning
opportunities which are essential for human growth and development and is also helpful in
providing good grades to an individual. This report includes various challenges that are faced by
an individual during the process of learning. This project also includes a brief explanation of
different strategies that are adopted by teachers to develop listening skill in the students.
A brief overview of listening challenges
Listening is considered as one of the most important factor which is effective in
development of personality traits of an individual. The listening skills are important part of
personality development and they are also effective in development of ethical values in a person.
In many institutions students face various listening challenges that stands as a barrier in learning.
In the academic and professional life, the different challenges related to listening are mainly
related ineffective growth of personality (Asonitou, S., 2021). In the career related life it is
essential for a person to overcome all the challenges in a short period of time to boost growth in
life. In the recent times the importance of listening skills has increased because of various
challenges in the field of education. In today’s competitive world most of the academic
institutions provide a focus on developing listening skills of a person to gain academic and career
related growth in life. Teachers take special classes in most of the institutions to improve
learning skills for development of personality of a person. The various types of challenges while
learning in the academic institutions are mentioned below:
False start and repetition: In the learning there is sometimes false start of different
activities and sentence. False start is a major barrier in the listening skills of an individual
which is majorly an obstacle in the field of learning. It is essential for a teacher to keep in
mind different techniques which are essential for business development. Repetition of

words also creates a problem for an individual in the learning process as it makes it hard
for a person to understand different vocabulary related words.
Unnecessary words- Use of unnecessary words in the language or related to a specific
situation irrelevant. Many different institutions focus on eliminating unnecessary words
related to a business in order to improve learning skills. Many teachers in academic
institutions focus on development of vocabulary in different institutions to gain
competency edge in different sectors (Bas, 2017). It is the ethical responsibility of a
person to develop ability of eliminating unnecessary words to gain competency edge in
academic life.
Technical term: In the professional academic institution there are different technical
terms which are used by a person to develop knowledge. The teachers in the academic
institutions focus on using technical terms which are unable to be understood by many
different students. The misunderstanding caused by pronunciation of different technical
terms is mainly responsible for eliminating different techniques of systematic
development.
Abbreviation and acronyms- It is hard for a candidate to learn major strategies which
are helpful in development of acronym of different words. It is hard for a person to
develop a basic knowledge about different structures that are present in the process of
academic development of an individual. It is major policy of an academic institution to
develop precise strategy by using simple words in teaching. It is hard for a person to
understand proper abbreviations and acronyms which leads to flow of knowledge in a
narrow way (Bashir, 2021). In order to develop broad knowledge of the subject manner it
is essential for a person to learn acronym and abbreviation to develop different career
related opportunities. It should the focus of different institutions in order to develop
critical knowledge about a subject matter and also use appropriate acronyms.
Complex structure- The complex structure is a deep and rigid structure of a function
related to teaching in schools. In most of the institutions complex structure is followed so
it is hard for many students to develop a precise knowledge about any structure (Daniel,
2020). The complex structure in the teaching is referred to the way in which rigid
practices to deliver knowledge to students. In the era of stiff competition between many
students it is essential for the students to follow flexible structure rather than rigid

structure to develop learning. The complex structure should be avoided in academics and
it should be the responsibility of management of the institution to facilitate flexible

Strategies used by teachers to develop and improve listening skills of the individuals
There is a major role played by teachers to facilitate learning and listening skills of the
students. Many different institutions focus on developing strategy to improve listening skills of
the students. It is also the ethical responsibility of institutions to facilitate and develop learning
for educational growth of different fields (Feudel, 2019). Major institutions in the field of
education develop a precise approach which is used by different teachers to facilitate learning in
various students. The major methods used by teachers in order to facilitate learning of different
students are mentioned below:
Training and development- Teachers who are present in the higher academic
institutions should focus on training and development of students. It is also essential
for many institutions to focus on training of teachers in order to develop precise
teaching practices. Students should focus on building skills of different students to
learn different parameters of teaching. In the different institutions there is necessity
of bringing various varieties of teaching which is helpful for the students.
Modern teaching methods- The professors who are present in the academic
institution should use new ways of teaching. Adopting new ways of teaching will
improve development of various students by increasing their listening skills (Sera,
2019). It is the major role played by teachers to select appropriate teaching methods
which are beneficial for development of unique teaching methods which are crucial
in development of various teaching methods.
Use of information and technology- Many institutions are nowadays giving focus
on information and technology in order to facilitate teaching. The information and
technology includes internet, computer systems and software which are useful in
development of a business.
Innovation in teaching methods- It is the major responsibility of management of an
institution to develop unique and innovative methods of teaching. The innovative
methods and ways of teaching can be held responsible for development of different

practices that are useful for personality development. The Innovation is a major way
of introducing innovative technique which can be beneficial for development of
personality of a child.
More focus on practical knowledge- It is the crucial responsibility of many
institutions to focus on practical knowledge for the overall development of a student.
The teachers who are present in academic institutions should focus on development
of practical knowledge to facilitate overall growth of an individual. In relation to
higher studies it is major responsibility of teachers to give precise focus on practical
knowledge of the students.
Evaluation- The evaluation teaching should be performed in last stage where a
teacher should focus on evaluation of teaching programme (Villarreal, 2018).
Evaluation will help teachers to develop a strategy in which there will development
of students on the basis of various teaching techniques. It is recommended for
teachers to select the best approach for evaluation of teaching plan in order to modify
it according to needs of different students. A teacher should evaluate time to time
different techniques which should be present in order to develop innovative teaching
methods.

role in development of a person which is very much necessary for a person. In higher education
