ABSTRACT
Listening skill is considered as significant skills of an individual person which is related
to performance level of an individual person while pursuing in college. It is necessary to have
information which is given by teacher. In context of given scenario of covid-19, most university
are adopting to Zoom application in context of providing lecture to its student. In addition to this,
student required to improve their listening skill. It is useful for organisation in improving this
kind of skill and capability by appropriately understanding different information by teacher. The
given report is depending upon the concept in which students can improve strategy that is
connected to increase in listening capability. It also signifies information related to role of
teacher in context of improving listening capability of individual person.

Listening skill is considered as significant skills of an individual person which is related to

are adopting to Zoom application in context of providing lecture to its student. In addition to this,
student required to improve their listening skill. It is useful for organisation in improving this
kind of skill and capability by appropriately understanding different information by teacher. The
given report is depending upon the concept in which students can improve strategy that is
connected to increase in listening capability. It also signifies information related to role of
teacher in context of improving listening capability of individual person (Callero, 2017).

Strategies that students can use to improve their listening ability
Appropriate listening is significant listening which is necessary to improve by an
individual person in context of achieving goals in timely manner. It is used in increasing
understanding level of individual person through information which is given by teacher. There
are various types of strategy that is adopted by student in context of improving their listening
capability. There are different strategies that are going to be mentioned below:
Listen for meaning it is considered as a most appropriate strategy that is adopted by an
individual person while performing work on specific project or listening to its teacher. In this
process, a student focuses on adopting a specific approach in order to understand information
that is given by its mentor. It is important for mentor to assess information and interact to its
student in an appropriate manner. Moreover, it is also important to give information by its
teacher to student during particular phase of time period. It is considered as the most significant
aspect that helps student in improving perspective related to lecture (Han, Kiatkawsin and Lee,
2017).
Adjusting notes making styles according to lecture this is considered as a strategy that is
adopted by student to increase skill that is connected to listening and making adjustments in class
notes. This strategy is considered as a most appropriate strategy that is helpful in taking
appropriate notes by an individual person that is helpful in future period of time. The student
having information that helps in performing different work in an appropriate manner.

Tackling difficulties to identify material and data it is not easy for students to
understand each aspect of lectures in an appropriate manner. There are various types of problems
which are faced by students such as word or coding is omitted by its student. It arise different
kind of issue in the mind of students (Martin, 2016). In order to resolve these kind of issue or
problem, the students focuses on using different kind of tools such as zoom application,
recording the data which is provided on class and handling data to accomplishing objective
during particular phase of time period.
Concentrate and pay attention this is considered as the most important strategy which is
adopted by student to improve skill that is connected to listening. It is useful for individual
person to understand different kind of information that is related to business organisation. For
increasing concentration skill, the student adopts meditation which is helpful in enhancing
concentration skill during particular phase of time period (Jha and Panda, 2017).
On the basis of above given information, it has been analysed that there are different kind
of function which increases the performance level of student by taking different courses. It is
significant for student to increase skill or ability to perform different work in an appropriate
manner for accomplishing objective in timely manner. Appropriate listing is considered as
effective skill that helps in achieving objective during particular phase of time period.
How can teachers help students understand their lectures
Teachers play significant role in students as they deliver lectures and make them
understand it that has a positive influence on their results. It is significant for teachers to
motivate as well as guide them in order to improve their listening skills as well as capabilities in
an effective manner. In addition to this, understanding lectures not only assist students to get
better results but also improve their personal growth. In the present time, teachers or lecturers
assist students in various ways and adopt various strategies in order to improve their listening
ability. These are given below:
Activate student prior knowledge: This strategy is adopt by teachers in order to
improve their listening skills in an effective manner. For this, lecturers give information about
the specific topic that will going to teach to students (Seligman, 2017). This assist students to
gain knowledge about topic prior to the class which in turn help in gaining better understanding
about topic. It is consider as a useful method as it assist in developing mind set about topic to
students which enhance listening skills of students in an appropriate way.

Use questions: It is consider as an effective way that not only assist students in
improving their listening skills but also assist them to recognise topic for longer time. It is
analysed from a research that if a person ask question from a particular topic within the
discussion then it is recognise to them for longer time and also clear their understanding about
topic. With the help of using questions, students pay attention to the lecture that is important to
gain better results. In context to Zoom classes, teachers can ask question to students between the
classes by allowing unmute conversation. This help teachers to gain knowledge about
understanding of students on specific topic. In addition to this, it make students to listen with
open mind so that they are answerable to teachers (Walker, 2019). This help in clearing the
concept to students and improve their ability of listening in an appropriate manner.
Encourage active learning: It is undertaken as a system that is used by teachers in order
to improve their listening level in an appropriate manner. With the enhancement of active
learning procedure, lecturers will get enough time to know about the understanding level of
students. In addition to this, it will enable teachers to perform a particular level by attaining their
objectives and goals associated to raise in listening skills effectively.
Use demonstrations or examples: It is analysed that using real life examples and
demonstrations within the lectures attract number of students and raise their interest towards a
particular topic. In addition to this, it increase the chance of remembrance of topic in mind of
students. With the help of character and examples, demonstration of topic is easy and convenient
for students and also help in improving listening ability of students. Moreover, it develops a
distinct image in mind of students that is recognise to them for longer time.
Recommendations
There are several recommendations which are given to teacher that is going to be
mentioned below:
 It can be recommended to teacher that there are different types of application such as
Zoom application that is adopted by teacher in context of accomplishing goals as well as
objective of student in an appropriate manner. These tools are related with handling
quality related to meeting, increasing surfing speed as well as online and offline classes. Furthermore, it is recommended that teacher can adopt self assessment notes that are
useful in teaching appropriate content to which is useful for student in future period of
time.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of above mentioned report, it has been analysed that It is necessary to have
information which is given by teacher. In context of given scenario of covid-19, most university
