LANGUAGE AND LITERACY LESSON PLAN
Introduction:
Learning and education go hand in hand across various curriculums throughout the
world. There have been several works that have been done based on the identification of the
aspects regarding the involvement of the students with their teachers (Leggett, 2017). Based on
the provided guidelines the factors that are important to the ideas that regarding the Australian
Curriculum are vital and crucial factors as most of the research and the lesson that will be based
upon the execution of the elements that are directly stated by the Australian Curriculum.
According to the Australian Curriculum, certain guidelines develop the factor for the
identification of the specific disciplinary knowledge, skills and understanding skills of the
students (Whitton et al., 2016) There will be the inclusion of certain learning areas in the
assignments, which involve the learning areas like- engaging multiple subjects and topics for the
students, reflecting on the various customs and including the different practices and also
maintaining specific discipline in the source of the study and making a sustainable mode of
environment for the review so that they can quickly develop the learning skills and can proceed
with their studies.
I would like to create lesson plans for Ally, among the students who were taken into the
literacy workshops. The video regarding her studio is based on the learning ideas regarding
studying the story of The Bull and the Frog. She will be assessed based on the Australian
guidelines for Curriculum in the learning process (Barnes, Grifenhagen & Dickinson, 2016). The
ideas regarding the engagement of the purposes for assessing a new lesson plan for this child will
be included in this assignment, and the lessons will be selected for the child who is present in the
video. I will be teaching the student the poem- ‘Five Little Ducks.’ The lesson plans will be

prepared based on the ideas of scaffolding and fostering the identified knowledge and skills
regarding the development of the child (Davison & Qi, 2017).
Learning Experience and Lesson Plan:
Lesson Plan 1:
Learning Context
The children are aware of the various factors that need to be identified based on the
acceptance of the fact that they will be given lessons and have to study according to
the given guidelines of the teacher who has been teaching the student. The students
will be evaluated based on the analysis of the factors that they meet the required
expectations that are set and expected by the teacher this will be involving the
factors that motivate them to study, the seriousness of the student with their lessons,
eagerness of researching and completing their tasks, pronunciation, clarity of ideas
and fluency of the reading skill of the student (Pesco & Gagné, 2017).
The student, Ally, is found to have specific skills based on her knowledge that she
has already received so far. Also, the content of the text is found to be making her
interested in the learning course. There learning skill possessed by the child is
entirely based on her capabilities regarding the engagement of the learning
requirements for studying the lesson that is the poem ‘Five Little Ducks.’ Therefore
the strong learning skills and knowledge that are required to identify new words as
well as to pronounce words properly are present within the child (Ramírez et al.,
2017). Though the child requires to develop confidence and needs to practice to
improve her reading style and spell words as well, this will help the child to

improve slowly. Thus these factors being already present within the child will aid in
carrying out the session.
Certain factors need to be identified by the supervisor of the child, who is
organizing the lesson plan for the child. Thus the consideration for the involvement
and engagement of the learning ideas by the students is an essential factor
(McLachlan, Fleer, & Edwards, 2018).
Needs- The needs of the child are-
Proper food and shelter,
Emotional Security,
Social Skills,
Career abilities,
Internal Skills,
Interests- The student is having specific likes and dislikes that are important to be kept in
the mind of the instructor who will be engaged in teaching the child. Other factors are
motivated to work with their instructors. The student has an interest in learning new
things, reading poems and stories as well. The student is also interested in animals.
Therefore the text chosen by the instructor for the child is ‘Five Little Ducks,’ which will
make her involved in the lesson and involve her in the reading (Saracho, 2017).
Abilities- The student is competent in-
Carrying out reading on her own,

She pauses where she has trouble and asks for help as well.
She even can learn fast and have a good sense of words.
She is also useful in following instructions and
She can understand her problems or faults that are being instructed by the
instructor (Epstein & Willhite, 2017).
The classroom seems to have involved the child in learning new strategies to read at
an average pace. This has developed the ideas for the student to excel in her class.
She is also able to learn according to the teaching instructions given by her
instructor. The student is also very competitive in rank well, which has left a
profound impact on developing the performance of the students. The identification
of the engagement of the skills of the students in the class is a vital factor. Thus the
idea regarding the classroom environment affecting the mind of the children
improving their abilities is an essential factor for the student, based on whom the
lesson plan is prepared (Bardovi‐Harlig, 2018).
Establish Learning Experience Outcomes
According to the English Curriculum based on the Australian guidelines, the student will
be able to their work that is allotted by her instructor and also will be able to analyze the
situations that are reflected in the lesson. The lesson plan is designed so that the student
can quickly attend to the tasks and also understand the methods that have been included by
the instructor. The lesson consists of a poem that is quite popular among the children and
has a more or less permanent place in the lesson plans for the children across the world for
studying English (Ko & Rossen, 2017). The poem ‘Five Little Ducks’ is a quiet

appreciated poem b most of the teachers who have taught English in class for children in
early childhood. Hence the factor for the involvement of the ideas regarding the
development of the skills for the student’s engagement and feasibility in class. (Records of
reading behavior - Ally (reading)- Developing Early Literacy, 2020).
The student will be able to engage herself in the studies as well as bring in changes in her
learning approach. Also, the student will involve herself in other activities in the class. The
learning outcomes of the including the lesson plan for the student is that the student will be
able to deliver according to the instructions that will be followed in the class (5 Signs you
should work in Early Childhood Education, 2020). Thus she will be able to keep up in class
and also develop ideas regarding the acceptance of the practices that are taught in class.
Hence the student will be able to follow the instructions that are observed in the course so
that the students may improve in the class and develop certain outcomes from the lessons
that are taught in the class (Muijs & Reynolds, 2017).

Outline of the monitoring and assessment methods:
I will be keeping a close watch to the performance of the students in the class, and will also
notice how the student is reacting to the level. I will be seeing her changes that will be
coming for framing her studies on an organized basis (Flavin, 2020). This will not only
motivate me bust also help me to analyze the factors that I will be needing to teach the
student in a better way. Thus the factor of engagement of the students in their lessons needs
to be assessed so that I can understand the state of the child and gradually develop a plan to
support her with capable learning guides and possible materials as well (Grabe & Stoller,
2019). Therefore the notion regarding the ideas for the development of the factors for the
involvement of the student with their curriculum as well. The child assessment methods
may be put forward on the base of the fact like-
Maintaining observation on the students,
Managing portfolios for the students so that I can keep personal records for the
students.
I will be assessing them by giving them ratings and grades.
I will also be taking the ratings shared by the parents for the performance of their
wards at home (Lathram, 2020).
I will be organizing specific organized tests to keep up with the standard manners
and administer the students based on their modes of ideas regarding holding a set of
criteria.
The different types of assessment systems that I will be using for the engagement of the
factors regarding the justification of the idea for the involvement of the probable

assessment methods will be based on-
1. Program relying on program-developed child assessments tools,
2. Applications based on the Published Child Assessment Tools.
These factors will be given more emphasis on certain ideas so that the assessments develop
and portray a generalized notion regarding the performance, and the instructors can analyze
the changes in the students on proper academic standards. Therefore the assessment
systems will be based on the early education care programs of Australia. The popular and
applied ideas regarding the assessment methods may be analyzed as –

Learning experience outcomes and Australian Curriculum Links
The learning outcomes based on the engagement of the learning outcomes of the lesson
with the Australian Curriculum. Therefore my lesson plan will be engaged and involved in
the linking of the Australian Curriculum with the lesson plan. Thus the factors that are
meant in participating the Australian Curriculum ideas in my lesson are-
I have chosen my subject English as it is one of the vital languages in the world and
also very popular in Australia, and commonly used as well,
My lesson will be helping the students to study English and can analyze,
understand, and communicate as well as build relationships along with their
learning courses (Australian Curriculum, 2020).
The reading and the literacy skills of the students will be developed based on the
knowledge and educational skills that they already possess as students.
They will be updated with excellent skills so that they have competent educational
abilities, training ideas and can use the skills in the workplace.
The lesson will help the children to become ethical, well informed and be active
members of society as well (Australian Curriculum, 2020).
The lesson plan will be motivating the children to be- able communicators,
informed citizens, and also be imaginative thinkers as well.
