Assessment 3: Literacy Curriculum and Assessment Visual Narrative

This project provides a visual narrative of literacy curriculum and assessment, addressing key aspects of curriculum design and assessment practices. The assignment explores pedagogical approaches, including modelled reading and writing, guided and shared reading and writing, critical literacy, and gradual release of responsibility, emphasizing their application in supporting diverse student backgrounds. It analyzes how these approaches facilitate interactions between teachers, students, and the learning environment. The project also examines literacy application approaches, such as ideological models, and their role in addressing inequalities, promoting social justice, and fostering student-centered learning. The narrative includes a discussion of how literacy practices can be adapted to meet the needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. References to relevant literature are also provided.
