1. Definition
A research methodology is a technique or the overview of the existing literature over
a given topic. However in this study an interview had been covered over the perishable
employee’s skills and the training over the IT inventory control technique. Apart from this
the process also deals with the problems related to the perishable waste disposals (Gale et al
2013).
Hence the main changes are required over the question on how the employees skills
and techniques are going to be very much useful related to the IT related training process. On
the other hand the literature review also deals with the changes on how the issues will be
cleared related to the IT application, innovation and the training process related to the retail
supermarkets.
2. Relevant previous concepts and theories
As per the disruptive innovation theory the basic process is related to the series of
previous technological and innovative aspects, focus on the studies towards the failures of the
companies to adapt the changed policies when the same had been confronted with the
disruption towards the technological innovation. On the other hand the as per the theory of
christen the good companies had failed based on the concepts related to the value networks.
Moreover the disruptive networks aims to provide the product improvement and the services
offered to the way that has been expected towards the market change. As per the theory of
disruptive innovation by christen the process had told that there were several reasons that had
resulted the failure of the company and the same had opted the entrance for new entrance or
market players. The theory had also observed that the disruption is a concept where there are

Various authors who have provided knowledge about this theory and process have conducted

technologically driven theories some good examples can be derived out of the process. These
can be like the barcodes and the RFID technologies that are very much superior and are
functionally been compared to the other forms and technologies like inventory management

In order to complete this research the academic knowledge related to the procurement
in the business management, books, and journals as well as the scholar articles have been
used here for the last 10 years or so. On the other hand the a combination of the research
materials collected from the London Greenwich school of management library databases
have also been used. The search items are basically included into the perishable waste,
supermarket innovation, retail waste and grocery stores. On the other hand the research books
and the articles collected from the sites of various university and the likes of public library
have also helped towards the progress of the literature review. Apart from this the use of

various commercial websites from Google scholar have been considered. Hence the search
items have been including the RFID, self- scanning and kiosks, product dating and the
inventory management system like the e LEQWIS system. On the other hand the literature
review for the study had also provided the knowledge which could be helpful to drive the
perishable wastages of food in the retail supermarket and how the IT tools and technologies
as well as the RFID’s in the retail supermarkets could be used to control manage and use the
perishable waste (Tracy 2019).
3.2 Use of information technologies
It can be said that the use of the perishable tools and the RFID checkouts, barcode
technologies and the use of inventory control technologies have been used. Hence most of the
supermarkets have adopted this process while the others have considered this process as a big
waste of money. Hence the key supermarket operations could go for the stock control, order,
process control and the service delivery.
3.2.1 RFID (radio frequency identification)
It is considered as an automated process that is used for the data capture and the auto
identification process that is used as a very important tool to share information and the supply
chain management process of the organisation. Hence RFID technology is used to
communicate between the reader and the tag. The tag is used to identify a specific object.
Similarly the information is used by the retailer to check the inventory visibility and to
identify the specific product cost. This technology is also helpful in replenishing the
inventory. Thus it is expected that the overall process followed by the supermarkets and the
groceries will be helpful to reduce the cost of the products and the waste controls. Hence this
process which is used by the retail experience by looking to provide the outstanding source of

the RFID process since those are very high costly and are not applicable to everywhere.

In the modern era of technology the bar codes play a useful role for the selling and
maintaining of the products. Hence currently every company uses certain barcodes to their
respective products as well as at the time of despatching the goods to the market. This
process is very much useful to fetch the real time data. It helps the retailer’s to get the data
over the lot number customer identity, manufactured date, expiry date and the batch number.
It is also helpful in fetching the information over retail placement, product temperature,
