Subject: Expulsion of Benjamin from Little Ducklings Daycare
Dear Sir /Mam,
We are sorry to inform you that we are forced to expel Benjamin from our Daycare centre as he
is unable to mingle with the other children. Since his entry into the daycare three months back
things have changed drastically. He has bitten close to five children out of which one of the
children had to go for stitches and tetanus shot. Besides, he has also kicked one of the teaching
assistant. Things however did not end here since he is always up to hitting, scratching and
pulling of hair. Parents have deferred from sending their children to our day care unit of
Benjamin continues. Although, we have met a few times discussing the condition but we have
not observed any change in his behavior.
You need to understand that Little Ducklings Daycare has been one of the most reputed daycare
in the affluent locality of Vancouver. It all began with the four children and now has an
enrollment of close to 52 children. Benjamin’s behavior is not only affecting the children but
also putting the reputation of the Daycare centre at stake. We are also faced with a dilemma as

this is something that we are experiencing for the first time in the ten years of our operation. If
we continue to keep Benjamin then we might have to close down our business as seven parents
have decided not to send their children if Benjamin continues. Benjamin being your only son we
also understand your concern but we are simply helpless on our part and taking such a drastic
step for a 4 year old for the first time in our ten year old history.
We understand that it could be shocking for you at the first go since he is too small. We are
compelled to take such a step only due to the business needs. We extend our complete support in
all the efforts that you take to cure Benjamin. Please understand that it is not at all a normal
behavior on part of Benjamin. We understand that children are too difficult to handle and cannot
be tamed easily but Benjamin shows certain abnormalities as far as his behavior is concerned.
Please consult a proper physician who can identify his condition properly and bring about a
change in his behavior. Provide him with counseling courses if required. This condition if left
untreated might lead to severe consequences in the future. Besides, as the Director and the
owner of the Daycare centre I would suggest you to spend sufficient quality time with your kid.
We believe that there’s nothing beyond a parent’s love that can heal a child.
We look forward to your positive approach in dealing with the situation. He is certainly a bright
child who requires a little bit of proper care to bring his behavior under control.
