INTRODUCTION
System analysis is process of designing and developing a system which allows sharing
and storing of data and info. In this the various components of system is evaluated and then they
are designed in such a way a proper system is developed. Along with it, system analysis refer to
understanding of architecture components of data and then designing system as per requirement
of business. Here, each component perform different function according to its features and
specifications defined. This enables in creating a specified system. In this report it will be
described about a library in UK that is Liverpool central library which is oldest one. The library
require a system on monthly operations summary. Thus, a data entry system will be designed
which record personal data of each individual along with book loan input screen. Moreover, in
last section different activities of testing and development of system will be described in it.
MAIN BODY
Designing of monthly operations summary report
The monthly operations report are those which consists of financial data and info of various
departments within an organization. The data is related to cost and expenses incurred by
company in operations and many other things. Thus, the report is useful in analyzing and finding
out financial performance of business every month or on basis of specified time period
mentioned within system or as per requirement of organisation. Furthermore, the report helps in
tracking past and present financial data so that effective and proper decision are taken by
organisation. In order to design a system it is necessary to analyse the requirement for it so that
it becomes easy to design it properly. The components are identified and change are made into
design according.
Monthly report summary of Liverpool library
In a database of library it consists of data and info about students which includes many business
function such as student Id, loan amount, book id, book name, book author, and several others.
These all functions are directly connected and related to operations of business. Also, it contains
details and record of all daily operations of students and loan amount of one month. Therefore,
Liverpool library report is described below
Student id- there is policy of business in which all individuals are as student and each one will
have a student id. They are the one who uses book as per their needs. Thus, having a unique

student Id will represent student that has taken book and loan amount. Furthermore, id is of 7
digits which is used when a book is rented to student and details are entered in it. Thus, it makes
it easy to write and maintain record of students in it. However, there is separate screen of student

As per Liverpool library data it is stated that there are 50 students registered in It which is
more than average of a month. So, the total monthly collection from students is $5000.
Loans- it is the amount charged on book which is taken by students. Usually, books are rented to
them on specific price and for particular time period. So, the loans are for short term period.
However, the loans are provided to student of Liverpool library who are having registration of
more than one year. The loan is granted to student against some security deposit. Now, as per
data of library it is analysed that company have provided loan of total $25000 and rented booka
to student. Besides that, value of security deposit is $50000. The interest charged from them is

Late charges: in this the late charges are collected from students who have not deposited loan
amount on due date. The charges are calculated on basis of interest and days of difference
between due and date on which book is deposited. There is a separate structure of calculating
loan amount. Also, in Liverpool library late charges interest rate is 10% and on 10th day charge
are revised. It is done on basis of book value of loan amount. So, from data gathered it is found
that library collected total $5000 as loan amount from students. There was easy for company to
maintain effective record of loan amount and update it in student id.
Donations: here, it is evaluated that library has collected a large amount of donations from many
people and students. Those who want to donate their books and also in form of funds and money.
It has enabled in providing high quality services to students and taking more essential step
towards their welfare. Thus, there is a separate account and record of donations which is
maintained by library. The management of company is responsible for maintaining all donation
record and analyse them in categories as books, fund, other services etc so as per data it is
evaluated that library received $10000 as donation as cash 100 books within one month.

The data entry screen is crucial component in the system of Liverpool library. It displays entire
details about students in a brief manner. Here, screen is directly related to student id and data
record of library system. With that it becomes easy for management to maintain data of students.
So, there are many things which is displayed in screen. They are first is student image is scanned
along with biometric data. Thus, the use of biometric will help in matching with student id and
entering all data in it. Besides that, they can differentiate student on basis of biometric data.
Then, after it next step is where manager fulfill necessary details of students that is id, name, age,
gender etc apart from it, many other things are entered into system such as purpose for
registration, qualification, education etc so, these all are essential details which is displayed by
system ans manager have to enter it in order to maintain data record of students and library. In
addition, students who want to register themselves has to go through this entire process.
The book loan input screen
This screen is also integrated with library function and system. The Liverpool library has to
follow several steps in regard with book loan and input screen loan items. Therefore, there are

Step1: in this first step the screen is categorized into 3 section that is registration of book,
book renting and deposit. So, in first step the book registration is done along with its id, name,

author and other things. This helps in effective and proper identification of book. Now, in second
one renting of book is done where book name, price, date of rent, etc are displayed in it. Apart
from it, info of publisher and author of book is displayed which help library in ease in identifying
book. In third step the deposit of book is displayed that is date, amount charged etc

Step2: in this step is related to issue of book. Here, screen will display info such as
student id, book name, book title etc and also date of issue of book. Hence, it will be easy for
company to match book details with student id and issue then accordingly.

Step3: - in book loan system the third step is related to return of book. Thus, here a
screen is displayed in which details regarding return of book such as book id, book title, book
name etc is shown. Also, it is shown fee amount, etc for it. The system automatically generate
fine amount.

Suitable testing and development activities
It is necessary to test a system before it is implemented so that any problems or issues which are
occurring in it can be identified. This will help in checking and testing the efficiency of system
as well. Moreover, if there is any virus which occur then it can impact on entire database. So, for
library system testing was done with help of software and trail was conducted for 10 days. From
that it was found that there is no improvement required and system is ready to be used. Along
with it, a dummy system was prepared and tested to record data and info.
There were various development activities conducted as well on this system. It was done in
order to find out different outputs like internal, operational, interactive etc Also, proper database
design is used as well in it which include redundancy internet data dependency and integration
which enable in gathering of more data and info at less cost. The software used is recovery one
where data privacy and security is maintained. Moreover, a ease development tool is used which
allow library staff to understand system and work on it in more efficient way.
CONCLUSION
From report it is summarized that software allows company to work in processed and systematic
manner. They are crucial component of a database system. The system needs to be designed in
effective way with proper components. Also, Liverpool library faced some issues in manual
maintain of data and info thus, they developed a loan monthly software which helps in providing
monthly report summary of loan and other things. It also consists of loan input screen that
displayed various types of info.
