1ENGLISH ASSIGNMENTS
Child labour is one of the serious issues in the world in the present times. This is
because it causes the young boys and the girls to work as labour in the national and
international markets as well. The reason that the child labour is a problem because these
children should be attending schools and classes for education rather than working. It is
because of this reason that Professor Shanta Sinha has founded the M.V. Foundation to help
the children who are forced to work as labour in the industries and markets.
Professor Shanta Sinha had established the M.V. Foundation to help rescue the
children working as child labour and to provide them a better life. The organization has been
working as a charitable non-profit trust from the year 1991. The main aim of the organization
is to establish schools where these children suffering from child labour would be able to get
their education (Sinha, 2014). It can be said regarding this issue that the organization has
succeeded in creating awareness among the societies about providing their children with
education and the ills of child labour. It can be said that the organization at the current time
handles more than 25 projects at a time and has more than 600 workers in it.
Witnessing the works done by Professor Shanta Sinha has increased my knowledge
about social responsibility. This has also helped me to understand the fact that the children
should spend their childhood in schools and studying rather than working in industries or in
the shops. This is the reason why the work done by Professor Shanta Sinha and the M.V.
Foundation regarding the child labour in the country of India itself is admired so much.
