1. Introduction
This case study is based on Local Farm shop which has decided to provide online
services to the customers so that they can purchase products with the help of a mobile
application. The mobile application designed features the products offered by the Local Farm
shop as well as booking of their restaurant. The Local Farm shop will provide the two major
services to customers that is ordering of products and restaurant booking through their mobile
application. The mobile application will be beneficial for those customers who faces difficulty or
does not have sufficient time to visit physically for purchasing required products or make a
booking of the restaurant. The motive behind designing the mobile application is to expand the
business of Local Farm shop by increasing their customer base with the help of online services.
2. Discussion
Target users
The mobile application for Local Farm Shop has been designed targeting the users of all
age group irrespective of technical skills or knowledge. The mobile application cane be used by
busy persons who do not have spare time as well as elderly people who are unable to move to
physical stores for purchasing required products.
Design principles
First thing that user wants from the mobile application is that it is easy to use and there is
no complex controls so that they can enjoy their shopping with comfort. Hence, the design has
been prepared with user friendly interface and proper labelling of buttons has been done so that
the users can easily make use of the mobile application.
