1LOGICAL THINKING AND DECISION MAKING
The aim of the paper is to analyse and reflect back to my learning in the course material
and the importance of logical reasoning in making decisions in life. It is imperative to reflect one
of the teachings of my course material which is the importance of stronger argument in life and
career decision which is expected to help in pursing my career goals; it will also develop my
daily life. One of the crucial things I have learned in my course is that the idea of logical
inductive and deductive method of logical thinking is not organic in nature rather it is learned
through times. Since I have been working as a Branch Manager at the Chase Ban, I have
reflected back to my early decisions to find out the validity of logically taken decisions which
shaped by life. I have observed that the importance of taking into consideration of all the
arguments can actually help us to understand the opinions of both side of the argument
(Moshman et al., 2016). For example, working as banking professional, it has been challenging
for me to mediate between any issues arising between the employees. It is imperative to consider
the fact that inductive method of logical reasoning is deriving generalized conclusions from the
specific ideas while the deductive method I the reverse process of making effective decisions
(Attridge et al. 2019). This situation at my workplace has led to me to think and consider that the
fact that it is extremely important to be patient with people and provide them equal chance to
voice their opinion in order to make better decisions. My earlier assumption about the logical
thinking capacity was soon changes with the course learning where I realized the importance of
inductive and deductive method of logical thinking.
