Introduction
The following report highlights the logistics and supply operations of Woolworths
Company, a retail food store in Australia. The researcher has highlighted all the basic facts that
are related to supply chain management. The identification of all the possible elements within
supply chain increases the scope of the project.
1. Transport Modes that are parts of the Supply Chain
Woolworths Limited is made up of some of the most recognizable and trusted brands in
retailing, that comes up with an excellent choice each and have a high quality and very low
prices. The management of Woolworths faces a huge challenge in marketing its goods in
Australia given its huge landscape and vast area. It is one of the greatest challenges of the
organization to cover the remote locations and large distances which is one of the greatest
challenges for the smooth movement of the goods especially the fragile and perishable food
items. The mentioned company owns a Victorian delivery Fleet which forms the backbone of
its transport activities. The innovation wing of the company has started using bio fuel based
transportation trucks to reduce emissions. Efficient planning has helped the company to
reduce its dependability on its own transportation system and use third party based
transportation system.

c. Quality- Quality must be taken care of in the new system to increase the demand of the
customers
d. Environment- One of the moist biggest concerns is taking care of the environment.
However the new system takes utmost care of the environment to make sure to build a
sustainable environment
