LITERATURE REVIEW
According to the consideration made by (Giles, 2016), communication is important
part of every organisation and function within the organisation because it facilitates better
productivity effective transformation of information as well as encompasses everything from
the individual to mass communication. He also stated that as a result organisational
communication is upward communication or a dominant filled within the organisation which
provides different facilities to it. I also stated that making communication as an internal part
of organisation is must for every organisation where it should properly follow it and maintain
the effective communication channel between old apartment for facilitating it's customer in a
smooth way.
According to findings made by (Mortensen, 2017), Communication can be divided as
nature of communication and flow of communication. Nature of communication includes the
formal and informal communication. Formal communication is associated with formal
structure within the organisation where communication flows in smooth one way with the
help of a perfect channel from one person to another. It includes meetings, conference,
telephonic calls, company newsletter and performance reviews which are considered as
formal communication. On the other hand, informal communication can be stated as that
communication which includes the casual, social and personal messages within the
organisation from one person to another in the form of informal way.
Author also described communication in flow network where is divided it in
downward communication, upward communication and horizontal communication. Upward

communication means the flow of information from superior to subordinate which is directly
related to order and instruction passed by buy the superior to the subordinate. Upward
communication flow means the communication flow from subordinate to superior.it generally
take in form of answers given by subordinate to their superior on their queries. Horizontal
communication is that communication which includes the people who are on the same level
of the organisation. Journal include communication between one person to the another person
of the same department same rank.
According to the findings made by (Sharon, 2018), communication play an important
role within the organisation but it have to face some areas which are also important for the
organisation to clearly identify and make a proper plan for them. According to the author
there are some areas which are divided in language, psychological and physical barrier.
Language barriers are those which are directly related to language and linguistic abilities that
can act as a barrier to the communication within an organisation. Stated that due to difference
in culture and languages there can be e arrival of a barrier while sending and receiving
information from one person to another. Author also explains the psychological barrier where
he said that these are those areas where the state of receiver will be influence by the message
which he receives. He said that when people receive a message a state of their mind will
directly impact on the listening and understanding ability of that particular person. Physical
barriers are those which are directly related to geography distance between the sender and the
receiver. Here author thinks that communication is generally easier over the shortest distance
and it is difficult to transfer and information in appropriate way when the distance is longer.
In the work of (Punch, 2016), it is identified that the barriers within the
communication can be minimised or overcome by the help of some particular and effective
activities. These activities are divided into three parts by the author the first is active
listening, under this activity a person must have a proper skill and ability to listen. According
to author these skills can be e developed by an individual by listening properly and taking
guidance from experience people where they can properly recognise information and
implement it on their work. Another method of overcoming this barrier is using a simple
language within the particular information for communication. This is directly related to the
centre as the sender must use a simple language where the receiver can easily understand the
message and the information which a sender want to convey him. The last point which has to
be considered for overcoming the barriers is build-up of a proper feedback. According to the
author it is a liability of a receiver to provide a proper feedback about what he understands in

information supplied by sender. This is because it helps the receiver and sender to properly
