Introduction
The report is based on the assessment 1 of this assignment. Assignment 2 includes two major
sections. The first section will include the update summary of assignment 1 on the basis of
comments and feedback received. The main section of the report will cover the logbook which
will show the activities of the project as per weeks. This is followed by a detailed description of
the responsibilities and roles of the team members. Then this will include a Gantt chart according
to the activities and resources of the project. This will also cover the timeline of the project.
Next, it will include the design of project along with the diagram. Also it includes 5 design
approaches of each team member. At last it will cover the budget of the project with a detailed
description.

Figure 3 Simple use case of the project
The main design if the project is given above. The diagram shows the LoRaWAN design. The
diagram displays the modules and the design components of LoRaWAN sensor. The basic
network of LoRaWAN includes core network server, end devices, and gateways. The end
devices are connected with the gateways. They will use a single hop connection for
communication. In the project, the gateways are interfaced with the main server of network with
the help of standard connections of IP and connected together. The communication between
gateways and end devices is bidirectional. The traffic to the network from end device (uplink
traffic) is used for different applications and use cases. In the project, the communication
between the gateways and devices happens on various rates of data and channels. The range of
data rate will be from 300 bps to 5 kbps and the bandwidth range will be about 125 kilos Hz.
These different rates of data have been used to support various coverage ranges.

Figure 5 Flow chart of design approach 1
The design approach given above includes different sensors. If anything goes wrong then the
system sends alerts or raise alarms in order to send the indication to the team. These intelligent
sensors are connected to a backend for remotely monitoring. In this design approach BLE
sensors will be planted to strategically monitor humidity and temperature. These sensors are able
to record the data of climate and send this information to the main hub device. This hub device is
able to do communication over both wi-fi hub and BLE. The wi-fi hub is used to do
communication with the local router. This can allow the uploading of data to the remote cloud
for periodic monitoring.
