Executive summary

Globalisation helps the companies to improve their sales and profit margin by enhancing brand
awareness and launching new profit. Product development and launching in different area is
necessary for the businesses to gain more customer base and operate business expansion. The
present report identifies new launched product of a cosmetics company namely L’Oréal and
launching of this product in Australia. A project management plan is created to collect data
regarding the product development processes of L’Oréal and the market condition of Australia.

Aim of the project is to identify the procedures by which L’Oréal can launch new product
namely Probiotic facial Sheet mask in Australia.

Problem statement
It has been identified that Probiotic Sheet mask for face that has been launched by L’Oréal has
faced high success in the UK as it has high demand in the UK (Loreal.com, 2019). It has been
identified that 37% of world’s launches have been in the UK due to unique ecosystem of the skin
tone of the UK people in 2018. On the contrary, it is observed that the skin tone of the people of
Australia is completely different. Therefore, it can be difficult for L’Oréal to launch their
products in Australia without understanding the demand of the product and its usefulness for
Australian. As L’Oréal has lack of knowledge in the requirements of launching ceremony in
Australia, it can create issue for launching new product.
Purpose of the project
Project evaluates the market condition of demand of new launched product of L’Oréal and
determines project launching processes in Australia. It helps the company to operate launching
ceremony effectively within time. The project is also helpful for the company to improve product

In this project, a project management plan is created by analysing quality, communication, time,
costs and risks that can be faced in acquiring data regarding the product launching processes of
L’Oréal. Proper method of data collection and its importance is analysed in the project.
Quantitative data has been collected from people of Australia and qualitative data has been
collected from the managers of L’Oréal.
Excluded Scope
Secondary data would be collected for the research to improve the quality of launching ceremony
and the factors that are required for developing products would not be included in project scope.
