Personal statement

Most of the people does not know about their interest, this is the prime reason that they
fail to do something good in their life. They have many confusion in their mind relating to
whether they should go for this field or for an another one. From my schooling, I was certain that
they I want to make career in a marketing filed because I like to talk with stranger and travel.
This is the prime reason that I did my BA (hons) in marketing and management and then got a
degree from London school of business and management. I want to study in London south bank
university because it is the best educational institute and their teaching methods matches with my
learning skills. I have 3 years working experience in a mini cab and chauffeuring company (Cars
in the city ltd). I worked as the senior facility manager in this organisation for three years and
founder of the company told me that I have great potential but I should get a MBA degree from a
good institution as it will help in gaining promoting in upcoming time.
I am right person for this course in London south bank university because I have
necessary knowledge and experience along with a great desire and passion to learn more things
in same field. I have attended many seminar organise by this university and I am meeting all the
selection criteria which is needed for this course. I pursed my interest by doing a job at a very
young age. My passion is to solve the problems of people and then make sure that they get want
they want. I did this work at ''Cars in the city ltd'' and learned many new things which were
related to my interest. If firmly believe that a person can only attain success in his/her life if they
pursue their interest and remain passionate about their work. Studying with job is very hard but I
enjoyed this experience in past and now I want to proceed in my career by joining classes of
MBA in London south bank university. I have a reading habit and I have read almost all the
books relating this field.
I also taught basic principles of management and marketing in a school for short time
period because it helped me in remembering many principles of this subject which can be used in
real life. I have attended many seminars of chief marketing officer of successful multinational
organisation. From my past experience, marketing is not about speaking and convincing, it is
about being a good listener so one can understand the demand of others. I am satisfied with the
practical knowledge of this field, this course will help in acquiring theoretical knowledge which
is very important. Their are some skills required in marketing, like good communication skills,
negotiation skills etc. I have talent of understanding the exact need of a person. This help in

convincing them in an appropriate way. I noticed that most of the time I got success in
convincing my friends to do what I want them to do. I joined a communication class and took a
job in order to hone this skills. This course , for which I am applying, requires this kind of skills.
My senior at the job told me that I have many transferable skills like motivating others to
do better, listening, time management, problems solving etc. I became senior manager of ''Cars
in the city ltd'' in short period of time because of these skills. These abilities can be used in any
sector. An important that which everyone should focus on is that all of the main skills are
required in the field of marketing. Once one of the permanent custom,er of the ''Cars in the city
ltd'' started telling the misbehaviour which cab driver did with him, he talked for around 2 hours
but I never interpreted him. I understood that he did want me take any action against the Chaffer,
he just want to bring things in my notice. Keeping patient is essential in these movement and my
listening and problem solving skills helped me in satisfying customers need. My long term plan
is to work in multi-national corporation of successfully corporation at the position of Chief
marketing officer. This course will play crucial role in attaining this long term goal and I hope
after completing this course, I will get better career opportunities in my life.
