INTRODUCTION
Risk is one of the most problem of every event, whether it local event or international
sport event. Managing risk is challenging because this include identification of potential hazard
and understanding likelihood of the risk. Risk assessment become every essential when it comes
to managing risk that might impact large number of audience. This study is based on British
sport security; UK is one of those country who organized global event successfully with the help
of effective security control (Amalberti and Vincent, 2020). This report will discuss hazard
present in the event and impact of these hazard. Later this report will discuss risk register and
risk matrix to ensure safety in the business environment. Later this report will discuss
rebourtness of the risk assessment plan to reduce error and the effect of risk. At last this report
will discuss efficacy of risk assessment plan and company’s strategy to ensure safety.

Analysing the robustness of the risk assessment plan to reduce the error and mitigate the risk:
Event sport event need to have risk assessment plan that can ensure lower risk and
strategies to overcome risk, it is very clear that analysis event risk and mitigating them is
challenging for the event organizer (Davis, Slater and Baker, 2021). The robustness of this risk
management plan include:
Risk indicator: risk indicator of risk assessment plan allow organization or stadium to analyse
which part will going to have risk and how this risk will arrive in the process. The robustness of
the risk assessment plan allow reducing risk and mitigate them with the help of risk indicator, for
example; if their any risk of terrorism, these risk indicator will allow stadium and NaCTSO to
control terrorism.
Technological involvement: technological involvement allow stadium and organizer to rebust
risk assessment plan to manage error and mitigate those risk that might occur in the process, with
technological advancement, stadium can ensure safety for example; if stadium have new
technology then they can manage cyber-attacks, with powerful security system, these stadiums
need to have technological advancement to keep confidential information safe and secure in their
system of the process (Gerba, 2019).

chances of risk become every high with lack of proper risk assessment plan. Risk assessment
plan allow event organizer to ensure safety before, during and after completion of the event

UK, these are:
Lower risk: The British Association of Chief of Police Officer (ACPO) have crafted effective
stadium design to manage crowd, to minimize risk of hooliganism, stadium design need to meet
all parameter of effective construction. Risk assessment plan allow British Sport event to reduce
or lower the risk of overcrowding which cause loss of life and impact performance of the event.
Changing of stadium design will reduce error that arrive during event, ACPO is developing
segregated section for footballs fans that become issue for other audience. After risk assessment
plan, ACPO can ensure safety and security of event and audience that will be attending these
events.
Effective security: risk assessment plan allow company to ensure safe and security, in sport
event mainly mega event, there is high chances of terrorist activities which can impact audience
and even national security of the country (Wilhelmsen and Ostrom, 2019). UK's government
have took certain steps to completely secure their stadium and make event run successfully, after
risk assessment plan, The U. K. National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) made
certain changes in the security protocol and designed new security method to manage terrorist
activities. The effectiveness of this risk assessment allow NaCTSO to place extra security efforts
at British sport stadium and completely cut off terrorist activities that might occur even after
security protocol.
Effective surveillance: to ensure security, CCTV is one of the best tool. This allows event
company or stadium to regularly monitor activities that seems unethical, British stadium have
CCTV surveillance continuously monitoring each and every activity, after risk assessment plan,
event staff is being continuously using CCTV to ensure safety is maintained. Apart from this,
NaCTSO have instructed British stadium to increase number of CCTV at the stadium, risk
assessment helped organization to ensure safety of the event with the help of continuous
surveillance with CCTV.

Effective crowd management: after risk assessment plan, crowd management become effective,
it is very clear that managing overcrowd was the biggest issue for the British stadiums but after
risk assessment, managing overcrowd was possible. Overcrowding not only impact process of
event but this also impact loss of life, every event have higher risk of lossing life due to rush
which can not be controlled (Kobrin, 2020). Female audience might face unethical touch due to
overcrowding that impact their privacy and security. To overcome this, risk assessment plan was
develop that allow British stadium to follow legislation process of managing crowd. Apart from
effective risk assessment, skills of staff member become very important in managing and
handling overcrowding in the event, skilled staff have ability to manage aggressive behaviour of
audience.
CONCLUSION
This report has discussed managing risk and its importance in the event or in sport event,
it is very clear that event has certain risk associated. Later this report has discussed hazard that
potentially occur during event and identified those risk which might impact smooth process of
these events, hazard may include; stadium design, terrorism and hooliganism. Design of stadium
become hazard because of capacity is low and audience are high then there might be chances of
overcrowding. Later this report has discussed risk register and risk matrix to analyse potential
risk and to overcome these risk. Later this report has discussed robustness of the risk assessment
plan to reduce and mitigate the risk. At last this report has discussed efficacy and effectiveness of
risk assessment plan and its impact on the event.
